Hey folks, I am heading up to portland/harpswell area next week for vacation. I did look into some shops/bars to check out. I have a tour lined up at allagash and want to check out some local bars and stores. I was looking for any incite what are the best bottleshops and bars? Let me know of any help you can provide.

That is a great thread. One of the restaurants recommended in it, Duckfat, is awesome. Visited Portland from PA in May and would consider going back sometime just for that.
Since you will be in Harpswell, you might want to try & get up to Oxbow Brewing in Newcastle for a growler fill of their amazing farmhouse ales - only open Friday 2-6pm so it is a challenge! If not, their beers are in tap all over Portland.
OXBOW ! They also currently have a bottled Barrel Aged Farmhouse in a 750ml for $15 also only available at the brewery Friday 2-6pm !
Thanks guys. Looking forward to the trip. The barrel aged oxbow farmhouse sounds awesome. Sucks won't be up till sat and they are only open on Friday. Anyone grab a bottle for an IP? If not no worries
