Morning locals! Having a personal Zwanze day share today at my house instead of waiting in line in Denver. Several bottles from many of you fine folk, cheers to you! L4L! Check my untappd feed starting at 1pm.

It certainly wasn't Sucaba level, don't get me wrong, but for being pretty easy to find it was nice. I will admit that I received it (actually two of it, have another to BIF or age further) and did not shell out the money myself, as I agree that it's a bit of a pricey bottle.

I think you underestimate how much people like getting Plan Bee (and others in your general vicinity). Just because the name isn't Casey or Tree House doesn't mean it's not a fantastic beer that people are excited to receive.

I appreciate where you're coming from. Do as you must. I'll do as I have to.

 

Personally, I don't want to get in over my head on boxes owed. Between fantasy football, round se7en, and an unfortunate bet, I already owe enough. I've also got more than enough beer at the moment, so not being able to forward it on is a dealbreaker.

 

Yeah it shelf turds around me, every time I walk by it I almost buy it since BA Barleywines have become a favorite style of mine, then I look at that price tag and I'm like "sheesh no thanks". It's crazy how much must be sitting out there because grocery stores near me will open a beer section (quite a few have started lately) and they will pretty much ALWAYS have this beer available right at opening

 

Man, don't get the wrong idea, everyone is free to destroy another man's or women's porch, I just recommend doing so smartly. A general once told me, don't stir up a whole hornets nest, be smart and kill the bastards one at a time. Just remember, revenge is sweet, and I like sweet.

 

You drinking again Dave, or still on the mend? Just curious, not in response to your post which is good, sage advice for 'new Jeremy'!

 

Yeah, I realize that one in particular (and a few others) are very desirable -- but basically everything from them is effectively a limited brewery-only release, so it's not like I can really stock up much. And I guess I was really referring to the variety of stuff I can get (so a real good 6-shipper of locals isn't a problem, a whyteboi-esque box would be tough.)

 

Kudos to you for knowing your own limits. There is not much truer test of a man than whether or not he fulfills commitments.

 

I was about to list like 6 others so the focus wasn't on that one, as I know it is not as easy to come by, but I thought better of it as I didn't want to effectively sign you up to be the 'go to guy' for a half-dozen breweries that may not even be as close to you as I think they are.

My point wasn't to say "dude buy more Plan Bee" it was to say that I think you underestimate the appreciation we all have for the boxes you send out, based on the faulty logic that "they aren't <insert New England brewery>".

 

Maybe have one tonight, Monday is officially the day I'm allowed. Need something special....hummmm.
