I'm definitely interested but not likely able to attend so far from home, I'll definitely try no matter what.

Out of curiosity, as I'm totally ignorant of it; what does the "pretty decent beer scene" consist of? The one and only thing I know about beer in Indiana is FFF, which I know isn't even in Indianapolis.

Sunking, Upland and 18th Street/sour note all in Indiana. There are several smaller breweries in Indy as well one that is putting out decent sour offerings is Brugge. Also HopCat and 20 tap are more than decent craft beer bars in Indy as well. I would certainly put the beer scene in Indy as better than average.

I know of Sun King, which is a great little brewery in Indy. Upland also has a tasting room there you could check out. And there are a ton of other little breweries, that I don't know much about, but would be fun to go try some new stuff.

Definitely interested, I'd probably have to make it a 3 or 4 day weekend and hope for somebody ( @Houser ?) to split the driving/gas with.
That time of year it may end up being a game time decision based on the weather, too.

Cool! I always forget Upland is in Indy, and I know of 18th Street but all you FIBs drinking/sending them so much made me think they were an IL brewery. Don't really know much about the others listed, but I do have a bottle of HopCat's Oil Rigger from @kgncfl that I got in the BIAB that I still need to open.

im very interested as well. ive been petitioning to having a share in a month where it should be better, weather wise. while 1.0 and 2.0 both ended up with luck on our side, there is always the threat of inclement weather. secondly, while both were pretty good space wise (1.0 better than 2.0), it would be nice to allow people to get outside and mingle around a bit (guess this goes with the weather thing also). lastly, january for me is highly unlikely since the wife is out until february, and will technically be unemployed until she goes back to work.

I'm totally in for this point, the exception being if we were doing it in FL or San Diego, as a means of getting away from weather. 2.0 was even a little iffy on weather as it was, but more rain than blizzard fortunately.

So, maybe April or May? I also like the idea of an outdoor space so we can add in stuff like bags and kan jam, and if it's over multiple days maybe even set up a small tournament (I know @Houser is in for that).

We could also plan it to coincide with something televised; on the early end the March Madness finals, or the NFL draft, something along those lines. Not that we need to, but it's a thought.

If it ends up being during nicer weather, then there needs to be some kind of grilling competition.

In! As long as it's grilling and not just smoking.

edit: As a competitor. I'll be a judge regardless.

That's kind of what I was going to say. The later in the year you get, the more regional "Releases" there are that many of us go to. January, while shitty weather-wise, seems to be in the sweet spot where there aren't many of those. I don't really care one way or the other. I won't be going to Huna day and I'd easily pass on DLD to drink with you assholes.

I hope to make 3.0 depending on all the normals (work, kids, wife, kids, weather, wife, work, kids, etc). Indy would be awesome and I love "the barn" idea!

I will be at Huna in March. Hopefully I get a ticket this time!

Ok, so I'm not sure which of you are Peanut Butter junkies, like myself, or if you like Hard Ciders, but if you are a fan of both..........you simply must check out this....

I was blown away by it. Words can not describe how much I liked this. I was at a Wine Tasting event with the wife a week plus ago....and I went back for 5th's or 6th's of this. Then I see it in cases at a local distributor.
