Cheers @Steban. Glad I could get you a couple of new ticks. It is my pleasure to send some CA love to you. If I am not mistaken the tod is a 13 which is drinking great right now. Enjoy that Raised Eyebrows and Bretta Rose, because they are fucking delicious. Drink that Virgin Cherry soon. Reports of the fruit falling off. Again Cheers my man.
Ended up working too late to get my box to FedEx today, but I'll drop it off first thing tomorrow morning and it should be arriving at it's destination by Friday, just in time to enjoy some goddamn col' beer for the weekend. 32 lbs headed northeast. Hope I don't get in trouble for going over the Oz. limit, but there was enough room in the box for more beer and a nice round dozen bottles always sounds better than ten.
I think I strayed slightly over the maximum limit over as well. I would have really overshot but I ended up forgetting a can on accident.
With the quality of boxes being sent, I'm ready for another! I need to step up my game, I feel I'm slacking compared to these boxes going out.
IPA - hoppy saisons - saisons - farmhouse - tart farmhouae/saison - wild ales - sours I have never been a huge Westcoast IPA fan. Way too piney for me. I have been getting my girlfriend into sours and that's the path I have taken her on. She loves those council tart saisons, they are way too easy to drink.
Any of you Cali boys near San Diego? My uncles brewery he's going in on is opening soon. http://www.secondchancebeer.com
A year or so ago I was an IPA head almost exclusively so I started working my way tpowards stouts. I started w/adjunct porters then regular porters then flavored stouts to american stouts to Russian Imperial stouts then BB stouts & I now love most stouts. I'm doing the same with sours now starting w/Berlinners, Flanders Reds, saisons & throwing in some wild ales here & there. I love a great IPA/dipa but they are much less in rotation in my world now
I have pretty much gone the opposite of that way @core42, started with brown ales and porters, moved to big stouts, then started appreciating saisons and wilds/sours. Only once the mosaic ipa craze hit have I really enjoyed IPAs and sought them out. Used to think that I hated IPAs, now I've realized I just hate Centennial hops because they smell like cut-grass and taste like pine needles.
My UPS boxes are set to land tomorrow as well. Looking to be a fun week of pron on here! Wonder if anyone getting boxes today or tomorrow are lucky enough to be off for the jewish holiday to really enjoy their beer. I know my kids are off from school but I'll be at work.
