If you don't mind taking a short (5-10 min) Uber or cab ride, then Pine Box, Collins Pub, Bambino's, The Masonry, Brave Horse Tavern, The Wurst Place, and Twisted Pasty are all close.

Bambino's and Twisted Pasty are both about a half-mile (10 min) walk from The Moore.

If you're looking for a quick beer and something to eat prior to a show, Serious Pie (from the same owner as Brave Horse Tavern) is a just around the corner and will have a few good beers on tap and in bottles.

When I think of the Moore Theater, I think of the Nitelite Lounge.

    Elysian is on 2nd.......

Nothing like a stiff-ass Long Isl... I mean beer before or after the show.

I had my first and only Genesee cream ale there. To keep this beer related.

However, a shot glass of irish whiskey kinda fell in..........

I lived in Belltown for quite a while. Here's some other places not too far away:
The Wurst Place (I love this place, just wish they had better hours)
    The Whiskey Bar (http://thewhiskybar.com/#draughts)
    The Brave Horse Tavern
    The Stumbling Monk
Pear Delicatessen down in the market not only has a good selection of bottles, but often stuff that's sold out everywhere else.

    Hope you enjoy yourself.

Okay, so I know that most people around here say that "airbnb" is the cheapest form of lodging in Seattle, but, I found a hostel called "Green Tortoise Hostel". Anyone have any experience with this? It says rates are around $35-40 a night. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

It's a super famous hostel in downtown Seattle that hooks up with the Green Tortoise bus that goes to Berkely/Bay Area. I can't imagine staying there unless you're in your early twenties.

I can't thank you enough for these threads. They were a huge help for my recent trip. We went to Collins Pub, Beer Junction, Bottleworks and Chuck's Hop Shop in Greenwood. From a visitor's perspective, if you can only go to one place on the list, I cannot recommend Chuck's Hop Shop in Greenwood enough. It had a great bottle and draft selection.

I'm planning to visit Seattle for a few nights with my gf. Leaving Thursday. We're staying in Atlantic (southeast of Downtown).

    A few questions:

    - Are there any nice neighbourhoods to visit that also have good pubs? i.e., I'd like to try Reuben's and Fremont but they are a bit out of the way. If they happen to be in nice neighbourhoods, though, I can more easily make the case to go there :-) Anyway, you get the idea.

    - What are the best bottle shops in Seattle or heading north that - and this is key - have wifi access? I'd like be able to check beeradvocate as I'll be picking up quite a bit to take home.

    - Also, are there any must-buy bottles around at this date?

    thanks!

Chuck's Central District is not very far from where you'll be staying. It's a bottle shop and it has wifi. You can also drink there --- they have 25 taps. And the neighborhood's not too bad.

Seattle is all about neighborhoods. Fremont is a nice neighborhood. Reuben's is in Ballard, which is also a nice neighborhood. But of all of the beer bars listed, I'm going to say Burgundian is the one that's most tucked away in a neighborhood. It's basically surrounded by residential houses. The rest of them are on busy/semi-busy streets and/or are in industrial areas.

Very close to you but not on the list of highly recommended places is Columbia City Ale House. I like it. The food's really good and taplist is above average but not spectacular. It's in a decent neighborhood but on a busy street.

Thanks. I got the neighbourhood wrong. Missed the "S", so i looks like we're staying just north of Jefferson Park. Makes us closer to Columbia City Ale House, though. Trying to figure out why this location was selected. Seems a long way from anything.

Looks like you're not terribly far from Machine House Brewery then. If you like English styles on cask definitely check it out. The Mexican place nearby is supposed to be good ... you could always bring food from over there and have a few pints.

Not far from Full Throttle bottle either. Small place but excellent selection of beer, wine and cider.
There are lots of food choices in Georgetown. Plus.... Georgetown brewery.

Hop Fest is on Sunday at Brouwers. Lots of fresh hop beers. And fresh hop beers are all over right now in general. Get some Cowiche cans while you're in town, and you should be able to snag some KDS at the brewery.

Bottles and draft starting Thursday. Bottles should still be around by the weekend. Hopefully.

Reuben's is releasing their FH Amarillo pale tomorrow (well, that was their plan last I heard). Bottles are brewery only. Draft, too.
