I'm here in SD. I went to the target off of Mercury in Kearny Mesa. $3.99. Bought the Elysian Punkaccino and The Great Pumpkin a few days ago.

Whoever is the buyer at that Target, they have really stepped up their craft game.

So far I've been a big fan of the Oktoberfest beers, and plan to try as many more of them as I can find/afford before they're off the shelves (the Sierra Nevada collaboration being my favorite of those I've had so far... I may just end up buying a full 12-pack of that one before it disappears from the shelves if I can afford it. Hoping to get a chance to try out some German versions at some point, too. Though I suppose this year's Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest is technically half-German... XD)

Fall seasonals overall seem good though... Oktoberfest lagers, brown ales, various "hoppy/malty combination" beers like the hoppy red ales/red IPAs showing up in some of the variety packs, Sierra Nevada making a Vienna lager... all of those things sound like good news to me. Not entirely sold on pumpkin beers, but I do have hope for them considering that the few I've had full glasses/bottles of aren't all that highly regarded (so maybe I just haven't gotten around to the good ones yet.)

This fall so far goes to Ayinger. Between their Oktoberfest and there ever classic Celebrator Dobbelbock, they simply can't be beat.
But domestic, have enjoyed Sam Adam's Octoberfest more than the other's I've tried, and I've had a lot. Smuttynose's Really Old Brown dog was nice as hell too.

Just wondering, when does Backwoods Bastard hit the store shelves? Need to go to VA to get some Founders, and last year my friends and I struck out trying finding any after 3-4 trips to various stores that carry Founders beers. Plenty of Dirty was everywhere thought (which is fine, but would like to have a couple Backwoods singles to work through the winter).

I've still never had that one, hopefully it makes it to my area this fall.

It's in distribution already, so now's the time to keep an eye out for it then or even ask around. Good luck!

Anything unspiced & pumpkin less. Start the season w/'fests & Marzëns, into browns, porters, stouts, warmers, scotch ales, barleywines etc etc.
Just like the seasons turning to dark...cold:astonished:
