Founders 2015 Release Calendar

Call me crazy but I agree 100%. FBS is one of my all time faves and yes - I believe this years to be even better. I had a few and was blown away. Amazing brew. Then I thought why not do a back to back with some of last years I still had. Obviously last years was going to taste different from aging a full year but I remember drinking many fresh last year and 2015's version is clearly better IMO.

 

Fresh breakfast stout is one of the best beers I have ever had. This year's is amazing, the alcohol does seem a bit subdued, but I figure that's because I'm getting too accustomed to 10 percent plus BA stouts haha. Great beer, might have to have one at the tap room tonight!

 

FBS being out early has me so far from upset it's incalculable. I'll have to be on the lookout.

 

Glad you mentioned this in a May post, as I thought I was going crazy - I swore I saw May dated DD just the other day. My gripe was that I love Devil Dancer but we didn't receive it until maybe July? Now we still have a few laying around with those May dates. I usually cut a lot of slack on age of IPAs compared to others, but it's disheartening that it didn't sell out or at least sell more quickly. I may "rescue" those last four or five singles I came across at TW last week for an aging "experiment"......

On different subject, I'd nearly forgotten about Dark Penance. I enjoyed it last year and indeed look forward to it coming out.

 

I had pretty much the same experience last night. Saw the 4-pack and thought to myself "man those are shelf-turding". Looked at the bottle date and saw 8-29-15. Almost picked up a 4-pack, but the Imperial Pumpkin Smashed(10.6%) 4-pack on sale for $7.99 was a much better value IMO.

 

Ha, I was in the midst of pumpkin beer buy-a-thon myself when I saw it. Not familiar with the Imp Pump (if we even get that out here), I'll keep an eye out for it.

 

My mom loves it....

 

What states have seen FBS so far? More importantly when will we get it in VA?!

We've got Breakfast Stout here in Minnesota already. Has anyone heard about Harvest Ale making an early appearance?

 

I doubt it. I don't think they'd ever release it before the Harvest Party, and that's scheduled for October 17th.

 

Once I read a comparison of Rubuaes to New Glarus Raspberry Tart I had to stop reading and open a beer to reread what I thought I read again..

Just had some Breakfast Stout bottled on 9/8 despite the fact that the calendar says it isn't available until October!?!?!?

 

It's not in Virginia yet, that I can find, but I think it's out in Michigan.
