    Jay sent me a Beermail last week, and was not happy about several WBAYDN "thread merges" that have happened recently.....just curious what happened that he would "retire" his account?

    Wife gave me Tuesday off from site seeing so I could check out some pubs (I have a bus pass). Met new friend an beer enthusiast Murray at The Lumsden and thereafter hit a couple more pubs and the biggest walk in refrigerated bottle cooler I've ever seen...highly recommended:

    Grapefruit and fresh cut hops. Just north of bitter earthy hop linger. This DIPA is a great Kiwi take on the "West Coast" style!
    Have a great Wednesday (in my last post I got a day ahead of myself...)

    Totally agreed - was fortunate to pick up a 4 pk on one of my trips to NJ earlier this year (bit $$ - $17.99)

    Totally right about the glassware! Looks pretty cool. As for me, was at a supermarket looking at some single bottles to make a "fixed-price" "mix-n-match" 6pack when I saw a couple of bottles of this sitting there (marked as eligible for the mix-n-match deal). Not sure how on earth they ended up there.

    I told my Kiwi pal I liked beers with big flavor and he picked this one out - "Rex Attitude" a 100% heavy peated malt :

    Super smokey, but not in an artificial liquid smoke way...this tastes more like bacon! And smoke...lots of smoke...this would be good with a cheese platter.

    Found about 70 doll heads (non-recyclable) in the plastic recycling. Decided to keep a few for... something. Here they are making this into an art shot. By far the most artistic thing in this shot, though, is the amazing beer, a masterpiece of tropical hops.

    I have Jay's cell phone number so I'll shoot him a text today and see whats up. He accidently retired his account once before (no idea how you would accidently do that) so hopefully it's just that but I'll let you guys know.
