Can anyone speak to what adds the "smokey flavor" in IPAs and beers not generally thought to have this attribute to them. I ask since as stated above I got this same thing out of Joint Custody. Now I might expect this in a Rauchbier or a Sout/Porter where you're using huge amounts of toasted malts but in an IPA, No Bueno.

Happened to notice the “Brett Raspbeerience” bottle release on the 19th, while waiting in a Zwanze line, and I’m dying to know just how wild this Raspberry Ale was? Then again, the limited amount of bottles, and the number of (0) reviews, is perhaps an indication that no one on here has had it?

I went to the release. It's pretty good. I've only had the sample at the brewery. Nice color and smell. Taste wasn't overly fruity but it was very easy to drink. Just a little tart. Sometimes it's hard to gauge with a small sample, though, so take that lightly. I Can't wait to try a full bottle and see how it is. It sold out that day. Solid line to begin the release, went through about 300 bottles in probably an hour if i remember correctly. A good first release for them, with 16 oz. cans coming really soon. They had a sample Khaos can on the shelf. Awesome.

Gracias and ya, samples are tough to work with; hoping to be in the area come the next wild fermented ale release. Was absolutely blown away when I had Anomalous on tap at Beveridge Craft Beer & Soap; started talking with the owner, and an up an coming brewer in the area: Burnt Timber. Who was generous enough to sample his sour ale with us…hope he opens shop soon. In any case, the topic of Garrison City cans was brought up, and that’s when we all got jittery; Khaos in cans = yes please

They just posted on their facebook page that they would be releasing 16oz cans of Kaos this Saturday at a steal-deal price of $6 a can!!! I just paid $4+ for a can of Epiphany and thought I was splurging. Seeing this news made me feel a lot better about my purchase.

Probably be back in the area next week for a bit, but damn that's steep...steeper than Other Half cans

Just a note but according to the Facebook Post from Garrison City the can release is on Saturday Oct. 10th. And it may be a good beer but at $6 a can it should keep the crowds down.

    $6 a can is absurd.

I think the crowlers were $13, so I guess this rates as a discount.

7.5% discount....great deal. I'm sure everyone is lining up for their $144 case.

Some places that use crowlers charge a buck or two for the container. Considering the $1 "savings" going to cans, seems the liquid is about the same price...

I'm jaded, but with tree house at the prices they are there is no reason to do this ever.

I love gcbw. I love Khaos. I've been on board since day one and was excited for these cans. But when I can drive a extra hour and a half for a case of SOS, heady, second fiddle... Anything, and still save money while buying all that extra gas, it's a tough sell. I never really thought of how expensive the crowlers were, ounce wise. Of course, I'd always get citra or Enamored for $9 so it wasn't too bad and I love me a giant can. I know they have to fill each 16oz can by hand, so they are putting some work in, but I don't think I'll be attending the release. Curious to see how the turnout is. I imagine most people won't get more than a four pack, right?

They had the opportunity to get people in the southern NH area really excited about a really good beer in a relatively new (and awesome) format for the area. I feel as though the price is going to overshadow the quality of their product, and that's sort of a bummer. Regardless I wish them well with the sales tomorrow and hope a good turn out will lead to a more competive price in the future.

The crowlers were selling, the cans will sell. People will pay, I just have too many better options just as close that are cheaper. I hope they sell out. I'm just not the one. I'll do what ice been doing.

If these hit retail at all like the crowlers, I dread the price precident they will set.
