No lines. You can split into 2 32 oz growlers for the same price. It is also available at the brewpub on draft

Such a great batch, love the fact they are limiting this so more have a shot at picking some up.

    Cheers…….

Ok, at the pub today. Keene Idea and O'Brien's were off the chain, crazy good. Nelson? Drove down and its pitcher day, so we got a pitcher of Nelson. I couldn't finish a pint. Heart crushingly bad.

Look, I'm not some pretentious dickbag. Good beer is good beer. However, Alpine made the best IPA in the world (in my opinion) in Nelson, and then tries to pass off something that's nothing even similar. Just kind of a bummer.

Anyways, legendary staff, legendary locals, and legendary owner (love u Pat!) just wished this Nelson business was cleared up.

Looks like Keene Idea is gone at the brewery. For the first time in a long time only one of the IPA trilogy available in bottles Pure Hoppiness, Keene is off the charts. So glad I grabbed some.

    Cheers……..

It's kind of weird how everyone blames GF for ruining Alpine beers, but no one seems to blame Pat for, you know, selling his business to GF...

What if Pat is playing the long game? Sign a non compete, don't give away the trade secret, lower expectations, non compete expires then open a new brewery (Alpine*, Enipla, ?), crush the GF product?

...then sell new brewery to ABinbev, rinse, repeat.

Yes, because Pat is nothing if not a shrewd, forward-thinking businessman...

Not "no one". A shit metric ton of Column A and Column B. I wouldn't say that Pat intended for things to get fucked over...but they did. Dont ask me though. @Xpotential has shed more light than I maybe wanted to know.

HOWEVER. Shawn's one offs and specialty small batch beers are as good as ever. Keene is tits. Hand Shake got dialed in. O'Briens gives me nostalgia. I'm the last person to be ok with sacrificing Nelson to the Mike Hinkley black hole, but if it enables Shawn to brew stuff he wants to mess around with, I can accept that reality....I don't really want to, but I'm trying.

    Damn @Xul bra-fucking-vo

    Probably banned. ZFG.

Apparently it's only Alpine employees that are prohibited from providing information to their customers, while GF employees can post semi-literate ramblings on Facebook groups as long as they reinforce the idea that GF is a benevolent organization that wants nothing more than to spread the glory of Alpine to the rest of the country.

I've had a decline in the stuff coming from Alpine. I picked up 4 Nelson and 4 Duet a month ago. 3/4 of the Nelson were oxidized, vegetal drainpours. 2/4 Duet were much the same. I picked up 6 Duet and 6 Nelson 2 weeks ago - 3/6 Duet were vegetal, oxidized drainpours. The Nelson were mostly good, though. Though, they've had some QC issues with bottling in the past so I guess I can't say that this is necessarily a decline, or just the resurfacing of past problems.

Got a fill of Nelson on Saturday. Tasted damn good to me. Haven't had it a thousand times, but enough to where I think I would notice if something was off, or at least moderately off. Just a taster, but O'Briens didn't blow me away.

I don't remember the last time I had a Duet bottle from Alpine that reminded me of the Duet I loved so much in the past. I can live with the Nelson GF is pushing out, but the only reason I ever go to Alpine now is for Keene Idea releases. I'm not a hater, i'm just someone who got into craft beer because of Alpine's IPA's, and I want to taste whatever the hell it is I tasted when I first started.

Yeah, the label for the Nelson bottle I bought in Alpine is different. No "golden rye ...," and it says brewed in Alpine, CA.
