They were just like the Julius cans, but green. Looked really slick.

First time can buyer of these two.... Drink now or do folks like them a week or two after canning? Thought I read digiNate posting something like that.

    Either way, thanks TH!!!

    This was what Nate said:
I wouldn't wait on drinking them, maybe you prefer how it tastes in a week but you won't know unless you have some now and and some later.

^nice find. You will notice a difference if you drink a treehouse beer within a few hours of canning vs. 2-3 days old. I would recomend cracking at least one as soon as possible. It is not very common, for non homebrewers at least, to be able to enjoy a beer when it is super green, and it is pretty cool to taste the difference.

I find that the Eureka variants drop off pretty hard after ~3weeks. When fresh, they can be incredibly juicy and tropical. I've had a 2 month old Double Shot growler and it was well carbonated and tasted great. The only change, as others have noted, is the coffee fades a bit. I've got a TWSS can in the back of the fridge -- looking forward to see if/how that changes after a month or two.

I find that cans are incredibly empty after about 5-6 days max :astonished:

First trip out there today at the new facility, if I get there around 4:00ish, how long would the average wait be after opening at 5?

I would say you'll be walking out of there around 545-6ish.

Anniversary implies something annual to me, but I didn't speak with anyone either. It was a theory only

Word, and I'd love to see it again, it was absolutely killer. As I was about to leave Damien said, "who knows, maybe next years will be even better." At first I was like "I don't know, this one seemed perfect" before quickly coming to my senses with "what the hell am I talking about, you guys are Tree House!"

Hopefully there will me more cans for tomorrow. I can't justify the drive for just 4 cans of Alter Ego, especially since I have 4 cans in the fridge from last week. I need some GREEN!!!

A Green/Sap one two punch would make me leave work with the tires smoking.

I doubt that they would open for just 4 cans pp. We'll see tomorrow!

Also, regarding Sap, somebody asked the question (not sure where), and the answer was they were waiting for a certain hop to be harvested this year. Simcoe maybe ?

I agree and from this post: @TreeHouseBrewCo: Packaging fresh Alter Ego! Love this beer. . . Open tomorrow, 9.30.15 for can sales only from 12-6 PM. . . More cans to come.
I think it is safe to assume more cans for tomorrow. My guess would be a 400+ case count of green. And ya, i think you are right about sap.

Signs are pointing in the direction of Green for sure. Should be a fun day regardless.
