Awesome. Can't wait! Also glad it's at the old brewery (right?!) just based on where I live

Any ideas on cost of regular vs BA? Also curious what the allotments of each will be

I'm also wondering about this. Think they'll keep the price at $20 across the board?

Please don't quote me on this. I hope they still do 6 bottle allotments, but I heard of your allotment one bottle can be BA.

This would make the absolute most sense and I would even be OK if it was 5 bucks more (although would prefer if it was normal price).

All of it was BA last year and its the same BA beer again this year so I can't imagine they will increase the price on it. Also, based on that pic of Darkness in the barrels not long ago (hundreds of barrels), the BA will be just at plentiful as last year.

It's worth considering that they increased the bottle price every year for about 4 years prior to the BA switch.

But hopefully they drop the reg to 15 and keep the BA at 20.

I wouldn't be surprised. Everyone was expecting a (justifiable) price hike for BA last year but they kept the price the same.

There is absolutely no chance they drop the price to 15 for regular darkness. They have to pay for that new brewery somehow....

    20,000 x 5 = 100,000

    math.

Special release beers NEVER decrease in price. Hell, no beer decrease in price unless a store has a sale or clearance.

False. Check your local grapefruit sculpin price. It used to be 16$

used to be? I know at total wine it's $12.99 but I still see it at $15.99 at normal shops

Double False! I just bought some at Liquor Barrel for $11.99 yesterday. I was on sale, but even their regular price was $14.99, I believe.

Either way, I agree, no way they reduce the price. In the same way, sporting event tickets will never decrease their prices! If they can get $20, whey ever go down to $15, being nice isn't work that much $$$!

Surly may not decrease the Darkness price but I don't think they will charge the same amount for BA and regular.

What are everyone's guesses on price? Will Surly stay at $18 for regular and $20 for BA?

If their other special release beer prices are indicative, I wouldn't be surprised if Darkness went up this year. Eight, Pentagram, and 1349 were all overpriced. I'm sure Nein will be overpriced. Let's be honest, they could charge $25.99 for Darkness and we would all still buy it.
