    Hello everyone,

New to the site, but I already love it. Huge IPA fan, but as always, I'm looking to expand my horizon. I usually go to HEB to get my beers since they have a relatively large selection, or to Specs, but I was curious to see if anyone has an IPA or beer in general they'd recommend from either spot. My default go to when I'm just looking for something I know I'll enjoy is Saint Arnold's Elissa IPA or their Endeavour DIPA. I'm also a big fan of Odell Brewing's Myrcenary, and their IPA, along with Sweetwaters IPA or DIPA. Thanks in advance!:sunglasses:

If you like Myrcenary, give The Calling by Boulevard a try. Those are probably my 2 favorite, widely available DIPAs.

    Where are you located?

The last month I have been KILLING Lagunitas' A Little Sumpin' Extra! From what you said, I think your taste buds will love it.

Houston man, I've had a lagunitas I wasn't a fan of, but I forget what kind it was... If I see this, I'll give it a try. Thanks man.

Avery just re-vamped their IPA recipe and their canned IPA is drinking very well right now.

Got some ***** Wagon in the kegerator and I'm really loving it. Get a big growler full if you see it on tap somewhere.

Gotta say Oasis' Meta Modern is one of the best "session" IPAs I've ever had, and it's local to Texas. It clocks in at 4.5% and has become my go-to for grilling, yard work, camping...basically anything outside. Insanely dank and fruity, it's a great full flavored IPA - and it comes in cans, which I'm partial to.

I grabbed some at Specs here in Dallas for $5.92/6pk...that is less than Miller Lite. Big Beer should be concerned, price is one of the last hooks they've got in the casual, light beer drinker and when that goes, awesome beers like Meta Modern will carve out a decent niche.

Did not mean for this to sound too salesy, but everyone should know about this beer.

i don't understand why everyone loves that beer. the few times i've had it i was disappointed. OP elissa is good, endeavour is good, yellow rose is good, neighbor of the beast is good, most batches of greenhouse ipa are good, if you are okay with growlers Brash is doing great things. lots of local options many of which are available at specs/heb/whole foods

Where you at @caffeineTX? Fresh Community Mosaic is impressive. Last 6pk I bought was from Tom Thumb and had been bottled the day before.

It smelled like 2 pine trees having vigorous sex.

If you shoot me a message I'll send you a couple freshies that'll blow yer hair back.

You should check out D&Q Mini-Mart on Richmond near Montrose. Small shop but an INCREDIBLE craft selection and a majority sold as single bottles (so you can try a lot of everything, without committing to purchasing a whole 6-er). I've been knocking back Stone Delicious IPAs lately. They're relatively easy to come by at SPECs and HEBs.

Then either you or your taste buds suck.

No, but seriously, I don't like Yellow Rose and people think I'm crazy. Crazier things have happened I assure you.
