I didn't get an itemized receipt. I got two Nelson and a Grumbler fill of green bullet. Total was $24.14 after tax. So Im guessing the bottles were $5.99 before tax.

Like I said I never had much if any before the merger. I really liked the bottle I had last night. Nice and dry but the finish lasted just long enough. And it was on the bitter side but not to the point that it detracted from the overall impression of the beer.

The best Duet I've had in months was a (presumably GF) pint at Iron Pig last Friday.

Keene Idea is so damn good! Probably because it tastes like Alpine BFG (Before Green Flash).
The lineup at the pub is solid with Alpine exclusives too, Ugly, Ryeder on the Storm, Handshake, & O'Brien's. I hope the pub & brewery carries these Alpine exclusives regularly to justify the trip up there, otherwise I'll just get my Alpine* fix at GF.

Heading up there next Wednesday, looking forward to some O'Briens, trip down memory lane. Not to mention first time at the new restaurant.

Those GF bottles are actually already making their way east. Not sure if it's other spots but Nelson, Duet and Hoppy Birthday bottles will be available in VA in the next few days.

Note that the brewery is pretty much out of all the bottled IPAs for the first time I can remember. There was a little PH left when I filled up with Keene but not much. Duet is next up next week then Nelson in two weeks but it looks like the spoils we have had for the last several months of having all 3 IPAs are over.

    Cheers…...

Looks like your going to have to go the growler route if you want Nelson.

    Cheers…...

Got one growler but crossing my fingers, I know they used to bottle on mondays, so if duet is next then 2 weeks nelson there might be some hope lol.

Yup, they just hit Tucson, AZ -- Duet, Nelson, and Hoppy Birthday. Kinda under the radar -- hadn't heard that those were ready and on their way.

Was really excited to meet some friends in a place in Baltimore and see Nelson on the taplist. After 1 sip, I realized this was not the same beer I had at Alpine 2 years ago. That was one of my favorite beers ever.
My buddy who doesn't know anything about Alpine (and I didn't tell him they are produced by GF) even took a sip and told me it tastes like Green Flash beers, which was weird.
Haven't skimmed through this thread in a while, but are GF's versions improving?

I had a Duet in a green flash bottle yesterday. While I was drinking it, felt like after a good 10 or so year run I was officially breaking up with Alpine. In San Diego there is never a reason to get a Green Flash beer and that's fine. There are plenty of other choices. But now they have ruined what in my opinion was the greatest trifectas of beers that I could have or even imagine having and seeing it in the Green Flash bottle made it worse.
