Was traveling back north to RI and stopped in Hunt Valley, MD for beers I can't get at home. However I had to grab a Hop Stoopid for $3.99 as the absolute cheapest I've seen it near home is $6.49. Even if it was a malty mess like all the bottles in RI not a big loss. After seeing the date more clearly at home realized it was bottled June 1. I would have bagged 4 or 5 if I knew it was that fresh!

Julian dating is new to me but I was able to convert it and found mine was bottled 1/4/2013. So that makes it over 6 months old! I hear the older stoopids have a sweeter malt profile which I rather enjoy. Needless to say I am enjoying it right now...freekin great for a $4.49 IPA

Its Stoopid old here in MA most of the time, saw some bottles with a 307 julian date last weekend at a local beer store, making it about 9 months old. Usually bottles in my area go for 6-7 bucks or so. Can't wait til the day I can find it decently fresh, not holding my breath though.

Interesting, this thread was started over 3 years ago and the price is still the same.

While I don't buy Lagunitas I think Hop Stoopid can be bought for around $5 in my area. I think Lagunitas has the best price point for the quality they produce.

It's old stuff here for the most part, it sits, the local IPAs are just better.

I've never seen it go for more than $5.99 and it's often in the 4.50 - 4.99 range

    September, 2015 - BevMo! Los Angeles - $5.49 ($4.69 ClubBev).

Considering the increased brewing capacity that Lagunitas has created since 2012 and the massive new brewery coming soon to Irwindale, CA, I don't think the price will be going up (due to scarcity, anyway) anytime soon.

That's deflation for you. Interesting that this post experienced inflation.

These two statements are somewhat paradoxical. Can you reconcile, or otherwise explain yourself? Just curious...

Honestly, I haven't seen the price change, I just hardly ever see it around anymore.
