I guess they thought "Hoppy Quad" was a better name than "Hoppy Belgian-Style Strong Pale Ale." Go figure.

Golden Monkey is awesome. Sour Monkey was even more amazing.

I would definitely purchase this. I'll have my 5 ounce snifters ready.

Looks and reads like a mess. Sorry to be a downer.

As "Quad" isn't a style of beer, the colour of this offering does not matter and thus can call it whatever the hell they like.
Looks like a Belgian Strong Golden Ale.

It's a good thing that beers aren't to be read. And frankly, there absolutely nothing wrong with how it looks either. Try drinking it before you take a dump on it.

Dropped in Mass yesterday (picked up at Redstone liquors and Rapid Liquors also has it). Couldn't wait to try it as love both hoppy beers and in cold weather malty beers. Drank very spicy (yeast or the ABV, Im not sure) and had a great hop backbone to it. Good drinking beer, and made me feel nice and warm inside. Did I enjoy this beer? Yes. Would I buy it again? Probably not.
As others have said, it did blur the lines in style, and was a little messy, but I do enjoy when breweries decide to make something they like, even if it may not fit in a proper category.

God damn breweries making beers that aren't meant to be hoppy just that. Don't we have enough IPAS?!

As an electrical engineer with a physics degree working for a military contractor, that might be one of the top five dumbest things I've ever read.

Yeah no I haven't. Don't make a "joke" if most people won't get it. And yes most people don't listen to metal.
