So what brewery would you choose?

Not working today so I can't say I'm slacking off at work, however I thought of this interesting question when I was driving cross country last week. If given the proper amount of thought, this can be quite a difficult question.

    Here is the rules:

-You have ONLY one brewery at your disposal to drink for the rest of your life.
-You have unlimited access to EVERY beer this brewery has ever brewed and will brew.
-You still have to pay for these beers. (So keep that in mind Cantillon fans)
-These beers are for your consumption only, and cannot be gifted/sold/traded for other beers.

So then, the question is...What brewery would you choose?

Personally, as much as I would like to say Cantillon or 3F, I couldn't pick them as I also enjoy a good IPA. Gonna have to go with Avery I think. Tons of variety there, and all solid brews.

Lets hear what everyone else has to pick. Cheers!

When Bells buys Deschutes, Ballast Point, New Glarus and Ayinger I may be able to answer this question.

brooklyn has a solid lineup of regulars for any season and the seasonals and special releases are good too. they also have a ton of brewmasters reserves and cask/tap only releases. all reasonably priced too imho.

though deachutes has black buttes and abysses and dissidents....

No way could I pick a brewery that does all sours like Cantillon. Especially if I can't trade'em, AMIRITE?!?

I'd probably pick Great Lakes. They only make a handful of beers, but dammit they are all fantastic. Pretty affordable too.

I'd probably say New Glarus. They have excellent year-round, seasonal, and special beers.

First thought was Cantillon, but then I saw the bit about having to pay for each beer...

Maybe New Belgium? They brew a wide variety of styles and I love their LOF series beers. Also they are sold at a great price point.

I'd go FFF. Almost every style they make is somewhere between really good and excellent. I think sours would be the one weak link but almost everyone has one hole. RR would be my second choice but I've never had anything darker from them.

My first thought was definitely Founders, but now I'm leaning toward Bell's. I feel like their portfolio has a bit more breadth, and unlimited Wild One would be nice to get my sour fix every now and then.

    Tough Call.....

    1. Firestone Walker
    2. The Bruery
    3. Alpine
    4. HF
    5. Goose Island

This is not in any particiular order. (I'd pretty sure its The Bruery/Goose Island battling)

    Cheers!

As a Sour and IPA guy, it would be hard to pick against Russian River.

I have thought of this in the past week, since this thread has come up before. And, going to Lake Geneva this weekend and most likely drinking mainly NG beer.
I would also go with New Glarus. About every beer is solid, they have sours, some hoppy beers, best fruit beers, about all they are missing is a good RIS.

For me, freshness trumps many things, so I'll throw in the criterion of:

-You are able to drink the beer fresh at the brewery or fresh on tap in restaurants/bars of choice either the beer or yourself having to travel more than 30 miles.

For me that makes the choice easy: Victory.

If I relax the travel distance a bit, strong contenders are Sly Fox, Dogfish Head, Stoudts and Troegs.
