Another amazing party put on by Revolution. Didn't pay for a drink all night thanks to carny games, listened to some good music and hung out with friends. No special tappings unfortunately, but still a great time and well worth the $35 or whatever it cost.

Heres a few pics from my crappy old D40

    Everyone knows Mike!

    Before it got crowded

This game actually worked for a little while, and was an easy way to free drink tickets
    [IMG]

I think the football thing was a bit too easy too, so they shut it down
    [IMG]

Easily the best game, you could walk away with several tickets every play
    [IMG]

Maybe 5 people won a drink ticket from this bs game. Should have won free drinks for the night for winning this crap

The longest line was for the wheel. Free to spin, and you won lots of stuff. Shirts, hats, stickers, beer, etc. Fun stuff

Proven way to win the wheel spin, dont stop drinking until the wheel stops. Real men finish the beer
    [IMG]

I forget who this brewer is, but he was damn hilarious. Dancing around in those tight shorts, smoking the entire time he was on the seat.

    You're doing it wrong
    [IMG]

Broken glass means no more drinks right?

    Wrong

just to add one more, we're happy for ya post but...... my buddy was bi*chin about the cost (35 bucks and its not unlimited drinks?!?!?!). I won the bowling game (it wasn't that hard), won the ring toss one twice, and won a winter hat. For 35 bucks I ended up with 7 drink tickets, a 15 dollar glass and a 20 dollar hat. Revolution was practically paying me money for drinking. Thanks to Rev and their crew for another fun event, I don't always need the rare and BA stuff, its also fun to drink a bunch of your regulars. On a side note, did anyone get Vav down in the dunk tank?

EDIT - Also an all female Kiss cover band was included in that 35 bucks!!!

It was really hard to see who was up to pitch, what with the blackout drunk and all. Good show!

And the gentleman referenced above is PK of the Metropilitan crew.

Instead of creating a new thread, I'd just like to say that much like recent Rev events, this years Oktoberfest is a big disappointment compared to previous years. All the fun carny games from previous years are gone. No brewers drunk tank. On FB I was told by Rev all food and beer is included but it is all a ticket system. You get a good amount but still... Also, only 4 beers on tap (Oktoberfest, Pils, Fist City and Altbier). In '13 the taproom and all their beers were available. None of the brewery is open for entry, just a very small area in the back with another tap tent. Besides that, there's a huge tent with a lot of seats and a band.

Why do away with the games? Also walking through the brewery, and being able to hang around the taproom made the experience so much more enjoyable before. This just feels like another obscure forgettable beer event in someones parking lot.

That's exactly what the description made it sound like this year. $90 for 2 people? No thanks. So many great things to do in this city for the same price or less.

A quick pic of the entirety of the fest this year. It makes me sad looking back at my 2013 pics. BTW 2014 still had carny games and more fun stuff, but it was rainy and freezing so no one went outside. Also they had closed off the main brewery and tap room for the first time last year which was the beginning of my disappointment in Rev events

I really think they need to hire an event planner or fire whoever plans these things. The Anniversary party was disappointing as well...

I had a great time at this year's event. Also, they gave you an insane number of tickets. I'd be shocked if anyone needed them all. I had 2 food items, 4 liters of beer, and went home with tickets still in my pocket.

This is the first year in a few i didnt fill up on some combination of whiskey and beer before the dunk tank and then walk around with my shirt off for awhile. So i guess that's a plus or a minus, depending on if you're my wife or not.
