Picked up 3-4's of FBS yesterday. Stacked up in the bottle shop. $13.50 was a tad high, but no muss, no fuss, no gas.

Where did you see these? That's awesome news! I recently spoke with someone at TW in Sacramento and was told first or second week of October!

We get lucky here. Meijer has it on sale already for $10 a pack.

Their rep posted it on Facebook. So far there are release parties starting on the 12th at cap tap room. Final gravity and low brau are later in the month.

This is good news I will have to start looking for it then! Usually takes the panhandle a while to get some things

FBS came out last week in Western Mass., which is usually not exactly the release bellweather of the nation for anything nonlocal. Reminds me I have to finish the last fourpack from last year. I'm finding that coffee stouts are pretty much limited to consumption anytime before the evening meal, at least for us "mature" adults who sometimes can have trouble getting a good night's sleep. The caffeine tempers the alcohol, which can be good during the day, but it can mess with nodding off when the time comes. No question it's one of the tastiest style variants though. Lots of good ones out there too.

You must not drink a lot of coffee ha-ha.

Seen a ton of Breakfast Stout in Ohio for months now. Actually just saw Black Rye for the first time last night, so I picked up one to try it out. And add me to the list of Rubaeus lovers (don't like Cerise, but love Rubaeus). The season for red raspberries is a double season, so that's likely why they stretched it out so much this year - harvests are in spring and early-fall, depending on climate and varieties grown.

Have to admit that I'm not a fan of most of Founder's special releases, but love their "standard" offerings much more. Centennial, All-Day, Porter, Pale Ale, and Red's Rye are my favorites. Actually don't really like stouts too much, so most of their "special" stuff doesn't appeal to me (have had KBS and Breakfast Stout, just don't need them again). Harvest Ale is probably my favorite of their "special" series, apart from the occasional Backwoods Bastard during Thanksgiving.

It sat around my store forever this year. Being priced the same as KBS here didn't help. We got one case and it sold ok and then got two more (should have been a sign stores didn't want as much) and we FINALLY just sold the rest last week.

Really impressed with it this year, it probably helps that when I picked up the 4pack it was just barely over a week old.
