Have to adjust my favorites to make room at the top for this year's Cowiche. Fremont makes it look easy: fresh hop aroma and taste, 6% sweet spot, distributed 6pk cans you don't have to wake up at 4am to score.

Hoping an October GABF and another early harvest schedule next year means the Fresh Hop category gets some additional entries from beers using varieties which harvest later in the season.

How far south in WA is a reasonable place to look for cans? Definitely want to wash the infected taste of Back To The Future out of my mouth (as it was the 1st & only Fremont beer I've yet had). Eventually will make my 1st trip to Seattle, too.

Some Fremont stuff makes it to Vancouver I believe, and Cowiche seems to be reasonably well distributed. Would need to call/visit Vancouver's usual suspects to be certain, though.

Sometimes I work as far north as Woodland, but it's random. I know nothing about where the good shops are, up Da 'Couve way.

Olympia got Cowiche. No clue if Vancouver did.

Cans are at the brewery and all over the city right now (bottle shops, PCC, Whole Foods).

Believe I have seen Fremont at Hop and Grape in Longview. Best to call first though.

Standard Fremont makes it down to Vancouver and I know H&G got KDS and Bbomb. Not sure about Cowiche.

Popped the cap on my pint of Feckin' Irish FH Dublin Pale I got from Imperial, last weekend. Not much left on the nose (it was nice off the tap) but a nice crispy traditional pale! Oregon City might be worth a visit w/ my growler.

For the Vancouver store, Total Wine's website lists it in inventory and appears to have it in stock. $9.99 for a 4-pack of 12-ounce cans.

That's awesome, but they need to update their system. 6-pack format this year with $12-$13 price tag.

Depending on where you're at in OR. I'll be just north of Vancouver for a wedding Friday & Saturday, then making the trek to dG on Sunday. I'd be happy to bring down a sixer for you if we can conveniently meet.

Haven't seen it mentioned and there's nothing listed in the spreadsheet but is Naked City not doing a Fresh Hop beer this year? I thought their brew last year was probably the most underrated of all that I tried.

Sent them a request for info, but they haven't responded yet and I haven't read any other mention of it. If anyone lives close by or has access to the brewers or marketing/media people, I'd appreciate a nudge to share with me. This goes for any brewery/beer info I'm missing really.

Got my first email tip from a stranger the other day for some MI fresh hop beers, and it made my day. Much appreciation to everyone who has provided a lead and/or followed along!

I sat next to Don Webb at Latona back when Two Beers Fresh Hop came out this summer and ended up talking with him due to he and I having a crazy overlap of friends. He said they were planning on doing a couple fresh hop beers.

I've had fresh hop beers from Infusion and Benson Brewing in Omaha the last couple years while back there visiting my wife's family. You should shoot both of them an email and ask. I know Benson's used Nebraska grown hops. I also think Lucky Bucket in Papillion, NE has done a fresh hop beer in the past. For a born and raised Seattleite, I know a crazy amount about Nebraska craft beer.

Also, there is a small brewery in Chelsea, MI that makes a fresh hop beer with locally grown hops. When I was there last summer, they had done the hop harvest the day before with the community.

No, thanks, but much obliged for the offer @BobsLiquors...I'll make a go of it in WA, very soon! I'm a mobile technician, & I'll get there in the next few days. Prost!

A $9 growler of Hop Licker is a good bridge, for now! A solid freshie.

Anyone know if that Mosaic Bomb from Breakside might pop up anywhere? Was out of town for several days and seems it came and went most places. Pretty dead set on trying it after the Simcoe and Cascade - Breakside seem to be the king of Fresh Hop beers these days
