Strangest looking can I've ever seen!

 

Afternoon coffee, this stuff is so damn good!

 

Doesn't get a lotta love here but I think this is an excellent beer. Cheers all.

 

Well BA's me being the klutz that I am Smashed my last bar glass and my only tulip together when I was shaking the tulip dry an hour ago :/ so I ran to the store to find some glasses, picked up some lowballs for my whiskey and mixed drinks (starting to build a stocked liquor cabinet to be a better host lol) and some new bar glasses, they didnt have any good tulips so i grabbed a 4 pack for 13.5 oz brandy snifters which will have to do for now, on the upside they'll go well with the bar side too. Anyways Christening the first snifter with DDC disco soleil kumquat IPA Cheers

Bought a 4 pack of this for my girl. Was curious to try it since most gluten free beers taste like garbage and I thought this one would be better since it would have dark roasted, possibly sweet notes to mask the sorghum. I was partially right. For a gluten free beer, it's pretty good. It does have dark, toasty and bitter notes. You can still taste that weird sorghum flavor though, especially in the aftertaste. A nice effort though in this category.

 

Solid rain and dark skies all morning (now 9am Friday). The wife has gone under covers, and I'm on to a new DIPA:





Subtle pine hop nose and tongue. Light bitter citrus finish and linger. One of the national brands you can find on the grocery store shelves. I like this one ok.

On Tuesday we ferried the 30 minutes over to Rangitoto Island, the largest and last active volcano (600 years) in the Auckland area. No permanent residents and a state owned preserve.

After 4 hours of hiking up and down & around, beers at Brew on Quay, 2 blocks from ferry docks:







Pernicious Weed was a delicious hot mess of over the top grapefruit and dank weedy Nelson hops flavors. Really in your face hopping. Bitter Bitch was far more restrained and a good dial back hop wise. Cheers!
