DO NOT let our 40,000 posts intimidate you. We are just a great group of guys and gal who enjoy sending beer to each other as well as jokes, videos, handshakes, porch bombs, LIF's, shares, challenges. Oh trust me, I have been lurking for quite some time, and would like to join in, but I don't want to let someone down with a "box of locals" or non-release beers that aren't as appealing as the bad A boxes you guys send!! But I will be joining, if allowed and will do my best to keep up with the great generosity that is displayed in the group!
What does #VCS and #VBS stand for? I gather its used when sharing a photo of drinking a beer you received in a trade...
Another BIF I enjoyed was the Everyone's Birthday BIF. It's not super active, but it was nice to open a few boxes and have no idea who they were from or what was in boxes. You get assigned to people to ship a box to, and you receive a box from two others. Something to keep an out out if they run it again for next year.
Yeah unfortunately though running it (and I assume, setting it up) has been one of the more challenging things I've done round these parts. I do agree that it's been a ton of fun, but damn.
Since I shipped early in the window and my sender @Eziel sent me my box early too, I haven't been very active posting lately but have been doing a lot of lurking. This has been my first BIF and it has been a ton of fun. Great to learn how people do these and some of the norms around sharing hauls and #VBS posts. Totally down to participate in some future BIFs and definitely the #CIF. Here is a #VBS shot from last night (got too lazy to post). Using the neat glass that @Eziel sent and enjoying this Triple Digit Gravitator Doppelbock from my BIF box. Really a nice beer and hit the spot for me. Had never heard of the brewery before and that is the fun part of this! Got a try something new and a style I don't have very often but love. Happy to dig into some of what Ohio has to offer, since I've only really had Great Lakes. Could have taken a more glamorous picture, but wanted to get my floors in the shot for you guys... Cheers!
#VBS I stopped down the lens a little so you guys could get a better look at the bottle cap magnets. Still blurry back there.
Just got home from a super long day and this was waiting for me compliments of @JNForsyth I've got to work on unwrapping it and will get pics posted when I do. Can't wait. Thanks Jeremy.
