The burger has a fried egg, cheddar, bacon, pickles and bloody mary sauce. The fries are smothered in fritos, pico and chipotle cream sauce. It was amazing.

NOT everyone else. I will not spend $60 on a Rare. It's a joke in my opinion. Before anyone brings out the pitchforks and venom let me say that I think the beer is actually UNDERPRICED. It will sell out instantly at $60+ so it should be more. People are fanatical about Rare, probably for good reasons, by its probably just another reason to get out of the beer game for me. It's the way of the future and I don't like how it's shaping up.

 

Fair enough, obviously I was over-generalizing; frankly I probably wouldn't spend $60 on 16oz of beer either. I'd consider it, but probably wouldn't actually pull the trigger. From a purely 'economics' sense you're 100% spot on that it's underpriced, any beer that "sells out instantly" is by definition underpriced.

I also wish that weren't the case, but then again I trade for and covet beers that wouldn't be available to me without my willingness to spend above and beyond what we consider 'normal' prices for beer (be it through high retail price, or just adding packaging/shipping costs).

 

I just got 3 howlers of world class brews from JAFB Wooster Brewery! Don't give up hope buddy! Also drank one of if not THE best barrel aged beers on a random wednesday while at dinner with the family at Fat Heads. Four Roses Barrel Aged Hippy Sippy...blew me away! If I can do that at dinner on wednesday just gotta change perspective on spending $220 on 3 beers and 6 3oz pours...on and a glass and a tote and...yeah that 12oz pour of world class grade A greatness at fat heads was like $6.

 

Oh dear Lord.....Shake It Off is playing at the wedding I am at!!
