Nope, never even crossed my mind. Sounds like a really snobby thing to do.

Nah. Unless the gathering is at my house, I just drink from the bottle like everyone else. At my house, EVERYONE drinks from an acceptable glass. EVERYONE. No excuses.

Hell no, I use what they have, it's not a real big deal.

I usually bring a normal pint glass if I am walking to a neighbors house, I leave the good glass at home. Some of my neighbors do the same, some just drink from the can or bottle. We are cool either way and no one judges each other.

I do. No shame - especially when the alternative is drinking out of a plastic cup or drinking straight from the bomber, which I find to be less than ideal.

No. Zero point zero chance I would ever do that. Proper glassware is the "optimum" way to enjoy a beer, but not the only way.

No, I don't think Emily Post would approve. But I like serving my guests craft beers in appropriate glassware and discussing how the glassware enhances the drinking experience.

I did a few times, then realized it really doesn't make that much of a fucking difference. If I'm going somewhere where the beer might be that damn good or I'm that excited to try (ie: rare beer tasting, etc), the people organizing it typically have enough sense to provide glassware.

Normal party, I won't and will just pour into whatever glass or cup offered and won't complain at all. Our 3-4 close beer nerd sampling nights, its now pretty much game on and protocol for each person to bring 1-2 of your own glasses with you. We frequently do side by sides in our get togethers, so everyone needs 2 of the same glass to give fair reviews and comparisons. We love tormenting our wives with our ridiculous behavior.

Maybe a tulip glass is questionable. I prefer a halfpint penta glass to break the ice. Bring enough to share.

The tulip is my go-to glass, I don't care much for pint glasses but it gets the job done. Then again, how many of us are drinking our craft beer straight from the can? Since they're providing the glassware ask if they have a wine glass, but be prepared for the verbal abuse!

Tonight, I filled up my Bruery tulip with Henniker brewing hometown double from my kegerator and proceeded to walk down the street to a friends house. I brought a bcbs to share and used my Bruery tulip throughout the night. Upon leaving, I grabbed a naragansett can to walk home with. So to make a long story short, stay in school kids and don't do drugs!

I never haul glassware to someone's house. I haul it to BYOB restaurants that don't have anything other than plastic. When you go to someone's house and don't want to drink your beer out of a pint glass, just as for a wine glass if you need it. My in laws commented on they don't have pint glasses at their house and I told them to let it go, beer taste just as good out of a wine glass.

I generally don't do that and I don't expect others to do that when they come to my house as I have a small mountain of glassware. That said, if people do bring their own glassware, that's great, because it's fewer dishes for me.

Non-craft drinkers? No. I can enjoy beer out of a pint glass, coffee mug, solo cup, or can/bottle

I drink only with other craft drinkers. Problem solved.

I'm down with the wine glass too. Any time I "need" to pour a beer and there are no beer glsases, everyone's got wine glasses!
