One of my keg's leaked and now my keezer has 5 kegs in a puddle of IPA
It looked like the picnic tap was leaking (there was a big plume of foam at the nozzle. Infuriating messy waste that I don't want to deal with!!!

I'd sell the house and let the new owner deal with it!

    Too extreme. How about

    A. Fashion a really long crazy straw from extra keg tubing and start sucking.
    B. Strip down and take a bath in it.
    C. Goldfish pond.

Nothing like a good night's sleep to restore one's sense of humor.

It sounds like it's time to pony up for some real taps. Picnic taps are the devil. I'm one major incident away from buying real taps. Knocks wood.

Same thing happened to me the first time I used a picnic tap. I have a dual tap system and 3 kegs. My kegerator holds 3 kegs so I put the picnic tap on the third keg. Fortunately a keg kicked during a get together after the first day. When I went to change out the keg I found the picnic tap foaming. I won't leave it on ever again.

Bummer, happened to me last year, cleanup was a mess and I'm still having trouble with mold in my keezer.

Mold was what I was thinking about last night when I was cursing the day I ever started brewing

Fresh coat of paint, and tear the backyard fence down though.

The answer to spending hundreds of dollars on kegs and CO2 is more hundreds of dollars on shanks, taps, and tap handles that you're not embarrassed of.

Peter. Sorry to hear you're having trouble. This is probably the worst thing that can happen when you get into kegging. It could happen to any of us. Follow the bubbles!

Happened once to me as well. Just have to buck up, clean up, move on, and check all of your connections and clamps.
As far as mold in the keezer or fridge, after cleaning up a wipedown with a weak bleach solution should remedy that.

Peter, I am sorry to hear about your loss.

If you are considering upgrading to a faucet, this model is highly recommended by a homebrewer on another forum: http://www.vent-matic.com/

    Cheers!

So let me get this straight. I need to buy a shop vac and get expensive taps? Selling the house is starting to sound like a good idea.

Peter, another idea is to go back to bottling. I have been bottling for 20+ years and I have never had a "fail" there!!

    Cheers!

Great head retention on the beer I just poured down the drain. Persistent sink foam.

You don't have a shop vac??? I thought everyone had a couple... but maybe I'm just really sloppy and accident prone.
