Four Seasons best stop of those.

Says hops but thats what I figured. Last few Long Trail beers I have had have been pretty impressive.

That's interesting, 'cause the first all Long Trail beers I've had were pretty unimpressive. Maybe I'll have to give 'em another shot...

    Limbo is actually pretty decent.

To be fair, I don't think I've had any of their stuff in years.

Anybody know if Big Secret Pizza Party will be making a return to Voodoo Homestead? Also, any word on 2015 Caution!? People are speculating that it will be released this week under the # series.

Long Trail and Otter Creek have both gone through major revamps of their beers. Really impressed with everything from the recently. Limbo isn't going to give you a pants tent or anything but really solid none the less.

That's a good way to put it. Limbo is a good, serviceable IPA that I enjoy as a back up plan if I can't find something I'm actively looking for and don't need more Head Hunter.

Can't answer anything on the Caution! front, but BSPP is on deck. We've just got like 4-8 pours of Polish lager and Breakfast of Champions to get through first.

Maybe because otter creek owns them now?

Reverse that - Long Trail bought Otter Creek.

I think your summary is very accurate. It was nice to see a beer fest that wasn't a shit show. Plenty of good food too.

Long trail smash and the apis meads were my favorite of the night. Roundabouts stout was great. Mexican coffee was decent but I thought it finished too dry. It could really benefit from being a bigger beer. 2 hearted was great but not very different from bottle or draft.

I thought that there were a lot of drain pours. Dirt wolf was terrible. The penn brewery harvest rye tasted infected. A handful of beers were really watery. I wish there were some more lower abv beers and more than one English style bitter.

All in all it was a great event and totally worth $50.

People are speculating that it actually doesn't contain real pumpkins this year too, only fake ones

Edit: It had it's own label last year, why would they put it in a different label!?

Oh to answer about BSPP. I had some Friday along with an awesome pizza with capicola and ricotta cheese and it was delicious. So I imagine if it just went on in Meadville, it can't be too far behind for homestead. They also had 2015 Big Black on Firkin, which was awesome as well

Retreat? Say 'goodbye' to your current self and prepare to be brainwashed.

I'll second @kbuzz in mentioning Helltown, but I do enjoy their stuff, especially when fresh. So I would recommend a trip to the source, but look the brewery up first; they have spotty hours. I actually have a free growler coming from them (wining ticket from a local event with auction), but I never make it out there--if you are anywhere in the South Hills before your brainwashing retreat I'd can hand it off to you.
