A case of Mr Pineapple disagrees with your version of "no reason".

    So Much Pumpkin Goodness!!

We aren't doing ours until Nov 14th but we are keeping it small this year. We had like 140 some beers last year and opened only like 45 of them.

Excited to see how yours goes.

That's my fear! How many people go to yours? I might be able to help you out on the 14th then............we will just have to wait and see.

Do we win a prize if the beer we sent wins best in show at the tasting?

I entered, but the logistics behind making it work, driving from Western PA 7 hours, going and turning around to be back Saturday is stressful!! If I win, then I will worry about how I will get there, but it could be fun

We maybe have like a dozen people ? Is that about right @psbhockey12 ? We do a whole pumpkin themed dinner / desserts to go along with it. Fun times.

Last year everyone brought sooooo many beers and it was overkill. We were drinking leftover pumpkins into December. So this year we are trying to keep it to stuff we never had or interesting ones we want to try again. No more 3 year verticals of Pumking and silly stuff like that.

    So far we have:
    Avery - Rumpkin
    Avery - Pump[ky]n
    Ballast Point - Pumpkin Down
Elysian - The Great Pumpkin (2014)
Cigar City - Good Gourd (2104)
Cigar City - Good Gourd (2015)
    Unita - Oak Jacked
    Jolly Pumpkin - La parcela
Jolly Pumpkin - Los Vivos los Muertos
Off Label - Nightmare on 1st St
    Saint Arnold - Pumpkinator (2014)
Funky Buddah - Sweet Potato Casserole
Heavy Seas - The Greater Pumpkin
    Cigar City - Seasonal Creep

Hoping to not get too much bigger, but we still may add a couple good ones if we find some barrel aged ones or unique ones.

Even though I entered and would love to go. I completely agree with this. We were just talking about this the other day how, first off it's a little crazy a beer is $60 a bottle, yet it is underpriced because people will be willing to pay that and more for it. Not to mention when the dust settles, people will be asking for $300-400-600 worth of beers in return for 1 bottle of it. Hell I imagine there will be people outside of the event willing to buy bottles off people on the spot for a couple hundred dollars.

The only reason I would really enjoy going, would be because it'd be a pretty epic road trip to go with a buddy or two.

A certain "young'un" I know had the opportunity to stop by Selin's Grove Brewing this weekend and said their Pumpkin Ale on Nitro is up and pouring! He also said it is fantastic.......I can attest to that, not this years, but what I had from last year.

    Yummmmmmmm.

I like the Food Saver packaging idea for cans. I have plenty of bags/enough rolls to make them.

You can officially add Rumpkin to your list for the tasting as well, it is in @zekeman17's hands and he tells me he's a definite to make it out there.

    Ha!

I guess that might have come off as if I was trying to "keep you honest", my bad. I just wanted @Mipper to know he didn't have to find one elsewhere.
