On the Topic my Comfort Beer is Korbinian. It's hearty and brings my spirits back to appreciating what I have.

FIS or Plead the 5th...usually buy a lot when I have the opportunity and crack them open whenever I feel like drinking a meal

Probably lagers, particularly ones with a good bit of that toasty/caramel-ish thing going on -- Devil's Backbone Vienna Lager and Negra Modelo are ones I got back to pretty often. Pilsners and "hoppy, but not to the point of being IPA-like" pale ales are almost always beers I can go back to and be happy with when I really feel like having a beer, too.

I just tried Troegs Perpetual for the first time recently. I couldn't believe how good it was. It may very well be my favorite IPA these days. It was almost as if this beer was hiding under the radar till now. I don't often hear people talking or commenting about it, but great little IPA.

Stone IPA. It's just good, easily accessible beer that I've been drinking for years.

Victory Prima Pils. It's what I think of when I think of "beer."

If I had a penny for every time I've mentioned it in a comment I'd be rich, but Zywiec Porter is mine. Something about that mineral-booziness is relaxing, and not just because of the buzz after the snifter is empty.

I have two tiers of comfort IPA. For normal post-work stress, it's Bell's Two Hearted. When I need to be pulled back from the brink of rage-stress, I go to Other Half Hop Showers, provided there's some in the fridge from a recent release.
