I just get wicked heart burn if I drink more than that. I drank a 750 of Sans Pagaie during the Super Bowl last year by myself and my chest was on fire until the next day.

Drinking that much of a Bruery sour, which are almost always way too sour with no depth, was your first mistake!

I've downed a growler of East End's Berliner in an afternoon solo.

Was planning a trip down to the burg Saturday with the wife for my bday. Haven't made it to Brew Gent yet so I wanted to check that out. Maybe I should be aiming for Friday to check out the Draai Laag release, or I could go to Caliente on Saturday ... hmmm

I cracked open a 2014 Caution this weekend. Drinking Great !!! Less Vanilla than on tap, and more Cinnamon. Has developed into a really nice barleywine.

If you ever find yourself in Morgantown again, Chestnut Brew Works is really the only place worth a stop. I really like their Halleck Pale Ale.

Yeah, I saw a bumper sticker for them in the parking lot of Morgantown--keep thinking I had one of theirs before, but don't remember details. But, on the ride home and looking up their site, I thought the same thing. Maybe next time.

I tried a taster of that and it was more than enough. Cherry vinegar cough syrup basically. Almost everything I've had from Bullfrog has been acetobacter ridden even more so than Draai laags beers.

They had more than one Enjoy By 3.14.15, and this wasn't the oldest IPA on the shelves. Think you mentioned checking the dates, and I'm glad I did.

I was in Philly over the weekend and thought that we would head over to River Horse in New Jersey (yes I know, it is always a bad idea to go to NJ). When we got there we were informed that we had to take the 45min tour if we wanted to try anything or buy a pint. We asked why and they said that the law dictates that it has to be an "educational" experience to serve beer at a taproom.........I (literally) laughed at them and said "you could teach me how to assemble this table that you have in the taproom, that would be educational". They were not humored so we left.

What I learned? Don't ever go back to New Jersey.

We went back to Philly and drank some Double Citra on draft along with some other yummies, so all was not lost.

Although I have doubts that this is actually a thing, my response would have been "fine...can I have the 3 minute educational experience?" Why does it need to be 45 mins? That's crazy...

Did they try to sell you a time share too?

Agreed. This is from their FAQ:
Why do I have to do a tour to drink beer at River Horse when other breweries in the state let me drink without doing one? Do I have to take the tour every time I want to drink at River Horse, or is once enough?
The law in the State of New Jersey is that a tour is required in order to drink on the premises of a production brewery. Unfortunately, once is not enough. NJ law requires a tour in order to drink on premise. It’s black and white. We understand that you may have had a different experience at another brewery but the law is very straightforward on this point.
