They still need to get a liquor license and then actually start brewing...

Didn't I see in another thread that some W&P brews were being poured somewhere in PDX? If not, any word on how much longer?

Yes, you did. It was the thread on Feast.

Chris DeBenedetti was the moderator for the "Old MacDonald Had A Brewery" tasting panel. They had some of their Plum Farmhouse Ale as one of the five beers (as well as the Logsdon Wit and something from Jester King). It was good. But, he didn't say when anything would be commercially available.

I'm a member of the Cellar Club and I've signed up for the newsletter... And I haven't heard a peep. The only information that they've shared has been on their Instagram page - and that's pretty much it.

My wife was reading Food & Wine and there was a small article about 'em. Made it sound like the taproom was open.

Yeah, I was just surprised to read that in the magazine considering I'd heard nothing different here. Could've used an edit:

Did I miss the auction package from them at brews? I thought they had some kind of dinner or Pre tour or something they were auctioning off...

Something along these lines is possible next year once they're up and running. We're tossing around a lot of ideas about beer-centric experiences/travel as auction packages, and W&P has indicated interest/support.

Also, I was at the Feast event with the Plum Saison, and it was very good. If that's where they're at getting their processes dialed in, people should definitely be excited about what's to come when they open.

    Jordan gone. Jake in.
And I'm thrilled to report that after a three-month search we have a new brewer coming aboard: Jake Miller, formerly of Prairie Artisan Ales in Tulsa, Oklahoma (with Prairie founder Chase Healey's blessing—cheers, Chase!). Jake comes to Wolves & People with deep experience, having been head brewer of Prairie's Tulsa widely respected facility, closely involved with formulations of many sour, wild/brett, and foraged beers (just our kind of guy). Jake has been in charge of recipe formulation, wort production, daily cellar, barrel, and foudre management, yeast wrangling, blending, and packaging for a year and a half. His passion is brewing saisons and the careful fermentation of sour beers. And when he's not brewing, he's skiing, stalking trout, and spinning five-string banjo tunes. Please join me in welcoming Jake to the team!

Speaking of snow, with Jake's arrival we turn another page—consulting head brewer Jordan Keeper has moved to Europe to brew with with fellow Shelton Bros. brewers Trois Dames. I'm truly grateful for the time Jordan spent with Wolves & People helping me get this huge project off the ground, and we wish him all the best of luck in his new Alpine abode
