So I bought a 4 pack of Tweason'ale today and was hugely disappointed, almost to the point that I want to pour the other three out. So I was wondering if I should go grab a bottle of Positive Contact tomorrow. Any thoughts?

Tweason'ale is a complete mess and a drain pour, IMHO. Positive Contact is great though... it lives among the best DFH beers, IMHO

It's got a lot of sweetness to it, but it's pretty good overall. Definitely worth trying. I haven't tried Tweason, nor do I intend to. Gluten-free beers don't interest me at all.

Tweason was one of the worst beers I've ever tasted, and I've tried Cave Creek Chili Beer.

But don't let that sway you, Positive Contact is a solid brew.

I had Tweasonale in my hands yesterday, and didnt buy it. This thread makes me happy about that decision. DFH beers just seem to be so hit and miss that I'm usually scared off unless I hear good things.

I had positive contact last night and was impressed by the balance.
There's a lot going on in that beer but it's very very good.

Is there any appeal to a gluten-free beer? Even if it IS dfh?

I never got past the description on the Tweason package. Went for the Rayon Vert.

The appeal of a gluten-free beer is for individuals with any form of gluten sensitive enteropathy, gluten intolerance or Celiac disease. Since most beers are brewed with gluten containing components, barley, wheat, and/or rye; if an individual has a gluten issue, then they most likely will abstain from "normal beers." Gluten-free beers offer them a chance to still enjoy a beer, but made from sorghum, rice, and/or corn versus the above mentioned ingredients.

Yea, I understand the reason gluten-free beers are made. I guess I should have specified "for those who aren't intolerant of gluten."

Wondering why people who drink ALL beers would expect anything other than a crappy gluten-free beer.

Personally, I was sold on the ingredients. I've had Red Bridge which tasted normal to me. With Tweason'ale the Strawberry and honey sounded good to me. But there's a turpentine/gasoline taste in it that ruins it for me. Maybe it was fortified with grain alcohol of something to get it to 6%.

Thanks for all the input guys.
