People are acting like having a product with a 30 day shelf life is some miraculous feat never seen by man before.....bread/milk/chip distributing companies call it just another work week.

    1.) Not boring.

It'd be a sad sad world if beer ratings were an actual determinant of how good a beer actually is.

2.) I wasn't responding to you so I can't really say I'm particularly interested in what you said. It's not a terribly interesting point anyways.

You may as well tell someone who said that keystone light is a bad beer that they aren't brewing that beer for the beer advocate crowd. It doesn't matter. It's boring beer.

Sam Adam's has the technical skills and the resources to brew beer that isn't boring. Which hopefully is what they're going to do with this product.

With bread/milk/chips rotatingproducts is absolutely necessary, that's not really true with beer.

It's not the actual process that people are impressed with, it's the fact that a company would go the extra mile to ensure product quality that they're impressed with.

It is necessary when producing a hoppy beer focused on freshness, be it enjoy by, rebel raw etc... Stone started it now I personally would like to see more breweries such as SA follow.

    Kosmic mother funk was awesome

I am looking forward to trying this one. Comparisons to heady will be fruitless, but I am hopeful it's a good, dank, maybe even complex DIPA. Key word hopeful.

It's a nice thing to see, but to call it necessary is a stretch. No one is going to get sick from a beer that is more than a month old. Hell, even most hoppy beers will taste just fine after 35 days even if they aren't at their best. As it stands, pulling a beer after 35 days is a commitment to quality that most of the industry doesn't follow.

Most bread/milk/chip products are distributed locally/regionally, not nationally.

Beer is distributed locally/regionally, too, via the wholesale distributor middle tier.

I think the point is not that he is bragging about waiting in line, but that he would rather wait in line for a great beer than pay money easily for a crappy beer in that style.

I hope you won't think I am trying to be a cool kid, since I love many of Sam Adams beers, when I say that in my opinion Rebel and Rebel Rouser suck. In comparison with a random offering of fifty IPA at my store that I have tried they would be number 49 and 50.

I am sure I will try this new offering, and I hope it is something done much, much better. If I don't like it it won't be because I am a Sam Adams hater, since I am not, it will be because, like the other two, it sucks.

Your comment above that they don't make world class IPA is like saying Mr. Magoo isn't a world class driver.

@cavedave dropping truth again, exactly what I'd expect from a dude with Jerry as his avatar. They are many, many IPAs I would choose before any of the Rebel series though there have been times in which I've gone with a rebel because of lack of anything else being available. That Rebel Raw is more of an east coast IPA bodes well I suppose, but they swung and missed on the west coast imo. Still preferable to an AAL though...

He's not dropping truth, you really mean he's dropping his opinion, just like the rest of us.

I ask you, is it not truth if I agree with its tenets?

Interpret his comment however you would like, but I think it's pretty clear you're in the minority in thinking he was just innocently stating he likes waiting in line for great beer.

Again, no one is claiming any of the previous Rebel beers are of note. That's fine that you think they suck, a lot of people think they suck. If Raw sucks, oh well. However, if Raw DOESN'T suck and it turns out to be a home run, all of us win. Why is this so hard for some of you to understand?

Rebel Rouser was definitely a win for us. Good double IPA for $8.99 a sixer? If you hate it, good for you. But for most people if they can get it fresh then it's a damn fine deal.

I have tried every Sam Adams beer in every style I enjoy since they first came on the market. I also wait in lines. Am I bragging? I wait in lines because I want a beer I believe to be better than those which I don't wait in line for. This also isn't hard to understand.

Right, but the beer in question will be nationally available. Cheers!
