KBS in NYC?

Is it that convenient store on Broadway in Astoria?

 

There's a CBS and KBS tapping tonight at Double Windsor in Brooklyn.

I'd much rather a Bourbon County variant on draft than KBS or CBS, they are both incredibly highly overrated!

If their beermenu (updated today) is accurate, both are still on today. The Gate had a keg of CBS last two days last year, so I guess the hype train is busy still hunting down spare AfterImage cans.

 

eh, i think it's just been poured at enough places this year that enough people have had some and don't need to go crazy chasing it...

 

Maybe by this point. But re: Gate last year it lasted a couple of days as stated, whereas around the same time Owl Farm (6 blocks away) had it and it kicked in about 45 mins. I think some places (Gate) just stay under the radar, and some (Double Windsor) have an associated ball ache factor (despite only being 2 stops further than Owl Farm)

 

Great Bar Harry had CBS on tap for their anniversary. Went back 3 days later and it was still on, able to enjoy it with maybe 6 other people in the bar at the time.

Also, Whole Foods @ Columbus Circle has/had KBS on tap last night - $9/8oz pour.

 

Yeah I was there for that. Great event - just the right size of crowd.

 

Good Beer - Tuesday , October 20th @ 2:00pm:

It's that time of the year again where we finally get to showcase the awsome and rare Founders kegs that have been chilling in our basement all year. It's always a night of stupid high ABVs and once in a great while beers and this year is no exception. Starts at 6:30 and ends around 9:00.

CBS and KBS will be sold first by ticket for $5 each for a 5 ounce pour. Once we get through all the tickets, additional pours of both will be available as well as all the other beers. In order to make things simpler, please have cash for the CBS/KBS tickets and if you want to start a tab on your card after for other stuff, that's fine. Also no growlers the night of the event to keep the line moving but growlers will be available on Wednesday with the exception of CBS and KBS should they make it through the night.

did anyone go last night?..how were the lines?
planned on going, but had to cancel at the last minute for a business dinner

 

It was pretty decent. Got the initial ticketed 5 oz. pour and then waited on line for 5-10 minutes for another 8 oz. pour. It was pretty packed, but that's because Good Beer is really small. It could've been way worse with people lining up out the door.

 

This just came up on beermenus. any chance it din't kick, or just a late update on BM?

 

I would call to confirm, but they might just have left over. They had enough for 140 pours and I doubt they poured that much last night.

 

CBS kicked at this point but KBS is still on.

 

I stopped on my way home and CBS kicked while I was there. As of 5:30ish, KBS was still flowing.
