Public house in Venetian has a great selection. The pub in Monte Carlo is decent. Aces and Ales off the strip has great selection (live tap list online). Hop nuts brewery is brand new and has a great IIPA along with a stellar porter.

Although it's a chain, the Yard House has had a great selection of over 100+ beers on tap. The Public House mentioned above is another great option.

Where are you staying? The transportation situation, unless you're renting a car, sucks in Vegas.

If you're venturing off the strip let me suggest these, they were my usual spots before I moved out of town:

    Tenaya Creek Brewery
Address: 3101 N Tenaya Way, Las Vegas, NV 89128
    Phone: (702) 362-7335

    Big Dog's Brewing Company
Address: 4543 N Rancho Dr, Las Vegas, NV 89108
    Phone: (702) 645-1404

If you go to Tenaya, there's a bar a few blocks away called Aces and Ales. While it isn't a brewery, it does have ~50 taps and often has take over events and hard to find brews.

    Aces and Ales Tenaya
Address: 2801 N. Tenaya Ave. Las Vegas, NV. 89128
    Phone: (702) 638-2337

If you're staying on the strip/downtown I would try:

    Banger Brewing
Address: 450 Fremont Street #135, Las Vegas, NV 89101
    Phone: (702) 456-2739

Banger is right on fremont street under the "experience" light show canopy. Its a small place, but has at least a half dozen choices on draft. Hop Nuts is near downtown, but I have never been since they opened after I left town a few months ago.

    Hop Nuts Brewing
Address: 1120 S Main St #150, Las Vegas, NV 89104
    Phone: (702) 816-5371

My vote is for Aces and Ales for a bar. On the strip I prefer The Pub @ Monte Carlo as stated above (was a blast when my Buckeyes beat the Ducks).

The only brewery in town that I like any of there beers is Bad Beat in Henderson. It's a good 20-25 minutes off the strip though in Henderson:

    7380 Eastgate Rd #110, Henderson, NV 89011
    (702) 463-4199

I've honestly never even been to the brewery. Just have had on tap and picked up bottles @ Total Wine.

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who posted on this thread; I'm going to be in Vegas next week for work staying at the Mandarin and was looking for a place close by for lunch and a quick delicious beer before I had to the airport. The Pub and Public House look great! (Yard House too, but there's one of those where I live). Thanks again!

Do a search of some postings from Destral. He has a nice list of places to see and visit. There are obviously some newer places (and lots of recent improvements), but most still hold true.

Your best bet at Mandarin is to walk over to Todd English Pub at Crystals...its next door to where you are staying.

Happy hour at Todd English Pub is actually a pretty affordable trip. That may have been said. Too lazy to read.

Bartenders are really trying hard to yo there beer knowledge too. It was cute.

There are also Crafthaus and Bad Beat brewing in Henderson. Both are worth a visit.

Rebel Republic (Sahara and Valley View) and Money Plays (Flamingo and Decatur) are two of my favorite beer bars

I'm headed to Vegas this weekend. Thanks for the suggestions. Are there any beers in particular I should seek out that I can't get out east? Looks like no Russian River in Nevada, but Bear Republic maybe?

If you poke around I am sure there is some Modern Times left.
