The picture on the BA ratings page shows it in a tulip.

At the release event at Black Forest, they were serving the beer in special Nein glasses that looked like a cross between a chalice and a champagne flute. They don't have it listed on their website, but it sounds like they are currently available in the store at the brewery.

While I haven't had the beer, I don't think you could go wrong using this:

I use that one most of the time. The ability to fit your entire head into the glass really helps you appreciate the smell.

The viewpoint you get of lacing being created is exceptional with this glass. I bought a second one for my goldfish to enjoy as well.

Rumor has it that Republic has a bunch of those in their basement that have been left over from the days of Sgt. Preston's. If you ask them they just might fish one out for your Nein drinking pleasure.

I had a sample in a small glass at the brewery. That might be the best way to drink it; small quantity and free.
If it was in a bottle with any other name, it would get hammered. Not my style for sure.

I had it last night, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I don't feel like I should rehash my review, but I found it a delightful combination between the complexities of a smoked banana flavor and a traditional hefe. For me, it was definitely worth the price.

Tried it at the brewery and that was enough for me. I enjoyed Two, Jesus Juice (Pinot Noir aged Three) and Four but thats it. I guess the anniversary beers were meant to be "out there" but most have been a bit to extreme for my taste.

looking at the reviews on nein, you might not be the only little boy on the side of the road looking at a naked old man

Our bottle had zero head or lace, despite an aggressive pour (think shaken, not stirred) and also zero banana notes. Drank her over the course of an hour and still tasted like a mild Smoke after warming up. Anyone else?

I did have an actual banana after finishing the bottle, just to rectify my sadness.

Had a pint at B&tB yesterday and I thought it was delicious.... and nobody there looked naked (unfortunately).

Had it at the brewery and found it delicious. Plenty of banana, though not too much. Didn't notice the head or lace too much, but I really enjoyed it. For $20 a bomber? No, but at $11-$12 like I've seen it thus far, it's well worth a couple bottles. Would like to see how it ages, too.

any reasoning behind waxed versus non-waxed bottles? just a simple mistake? came across some non-waxed bottles today.
