Boy, there is quite a bit of varying opinions on this beer.

    Somewhat strange!?!

    Cheers!

A bit malty, not bitter, floral and not really citrusy? Enough said. I'll pass.

Had a pack at whole foods but was told it was not for sale yet. Some mumbled exuse of system not having beer in it. If it's in your shop sell the fucking beer or don't have it visible. I am so done with whole foods and their expensive beer and snotty elitist attitudes.

I will just wait to find it elsewhere for less money

    Enjoy

Funny you say that, my thoughts on Whole Foods in this recent thread and it has gone downhill quite a bit unfortunately:

Bought a six pack cans on Friday and had a few this weekend. Definitely not what I expected, I expected more bright fruit with less malt but got more malt and more spicy hops than I had expected. It was almost Hop Devil light for me....it had much the same charactaristics. Solid beer, but I expected more.

Tried over the weekend too. Kinda disappointed myself as well. Enjoyed more than Hop Devil however (not a fan at all) but doesn't even come close to Dirtwolf. Decent but I don't know if Ill be buying again.

I think it works this way a lot more than we like to admit. I often see reviews and go :astonished:. Then see many more just like it knowing that my palate is the outlier. Just goes to show that we should all try every beer. I just wish there was the time and liver to do it.

I tried it for the first time last night...it has a similar sweet finish that I get from some other beers that are hoppier by Victory I guess looking to keep balance in mind.

If you have the money spend it on dirt wolf if you're in the dirty south. Way to many better IPA's at that price point.

I wasn't expecting much but am pretty happy with Vital, I can see where this could get some hate but it is right up my alley.

And at $35 a case? Sold...

I tried it on draft at the brewpub recently, it was just okay and not something I see myself drinking often.

I've tried 3 of the 6 I picked up last week. It is an easy drinking beer. Certainly tasty and I would recommend, but not something to go out of your way to get.

I've had both draft and cans. Call me crazy, but I found the cans to be clearer, crisper and less malty than what I had on draft.

I was thinking that I probably should give the cans a shot to see if there is any difference because with many beers I have found their usually is.

If I had to describe the taste it reminded me of the Hop Ticket Session IPA they had out at one point and I was not a big fan of that either.

This beer is really good... and hoppy. I don't understand why people in this thread think its malty.

I found it very thin, as well as unsuitable for today's standard of IPA. It is a decent drinking beer, yet alas, just because you pour syrup on shit, doesn't make it pancakes. Larrrrrrrrrrrrrrge. This is the Hunter.

Saw this in distributor in cans yesterday. Had it on tap yesterday too. Pretty darn good!
