It's just too easy. I bet I could keep this thread going at least another couple weeks

OK, this is going to sound super douche, but since this is a website devoted to beer I want to point out that hops grow on bines, not vines. Subtle, but factual.

Sorry, just effing around. Started out serious then started to take it too far.

Interesting note, drinking a stone enjoy by... They upped the abv but the hops are super subdued. Wondering if we are seeing a trend for fresh beers?

wow. i learned two things in this thread. butt chugging is actually a thing, and bines /= vines.

one of these is a lot more important than the other.

Well one data point does make a trend, so yeah possibly. And Enjoy By has been 9.4% since maybe Nov 2012? Anyway, back to Wet, right?

Not what I was expecting but this year's version is very enjoyable and crushable.

Not exactly what I expected but IMO 2015 Wet is a really good beer. While the the nose isn't what I had hoped for there is a very nice grassy/juicy component and I certainly don't get any skunky lager type character.

As each year goes by fresh hop beers seem to be a bit of a hero or zero style for me. Have had some awesome ones and have had more than a few that leave me disappointed. Often happens year to year with the same brand. For instance last years Harvest Ale (had been almost bullet proof in my book) was IMO way under the previous standard.

FWIW 2015 Wet easily trumps this years Broo Doo.

After thinking about this. I challenge anybody who[IMG] wants to have my last beer in my four pack and tell me this beer is Wet. It sure tastes like Hell, jacked up...or at least my four pack.

Sorry, I think something is a miss here. Let me the first to say it, but my four pack doesn't even taste like an IPA.

Castle Dangers Fresh Hop Mosaic blows Wet away, but a bit unfair to straight compare as its pretty much apples to oranges, more so a plug for how good C.D was, wish it was a tad cheaper. FWIW I think Wet is a might fine beer in its own right

Isn't all beer wet? It is liquid after all

Sure is a crazy thing that so many people can have such varied opinions about a beer. I handed out two 4-packs to friends on Saturday at a gathering, ranging from hop heads to people who just like good beer... not a single person enjoyed it.

Were there multiple canning dates? Perhaps there were two or more batches?

I believe my four pack was dated 9/25/2015 and definitely smelled like a lager with white grapes being the dominant flavor profile. Was ok, but I won't be buying more this year.

My cans were dated 9/25/2015 as well. All three so far have not been good!
