18 minutes to be exact via DL's Twitter. They are encouraging folks to get there early at Caliente. I can't for the life of me understand the 4 bottle limit. For the record I was never going to this anyway, so it is just not me being sour about getting shut out.

Didn't they start selling the bottles at 5? So that would be 1hr 40min?

The more I think about this, the bottles went on sale at 5pm. It wasn't like we were given tickets for a lottery. Just because they didn't give them to us till 7 doesn't mean jack shit. We had to buy the ticket early so I would call that "on sale" well before 7.

The beer itself was described as a sour stout. I didn't think there was anything stout-like about it though. Thinner body and I didn't get any roasty qualities or anything like that that you would normally get from a stout. It was much more of a sour dark ale than sour stout. Yes, the pours from the tap were far too cold but as it warmed up, it was good. I liked it but didn't love it. Some time may be interesting to see how it develops. I only got 2 of my 4 since I split my allotment with my buddy who struck out behind me. I am considering going to Caliente's to get a another one so we can each get our full allotment.

It was described as light stout flavors with the body of a schwarzbier.

I was there at 6 and the tickets didnt last too much past 620-630. I've already learned to take DL's "announcements" with some speculation. Tried it on tap. But mostly wanted some pizza. The place was so fucking packed though. Fire hazard status.

I got bumped into from behind and dropped a piece of pizza down some poor guy's back... against his work shirt... grease side in... wedged between his back and the seat... and he sat back and crushed it. It was bad. I apologized profusely but he had zero fucks to give about it and just said dont worry. I got a terrible bitch stare from some 70yr old woman who was completely removed from the situation though. Naturally I continued on my way and ate the pice of pizza.

Got to meet Hunter and jeevo which was cool. May have seen @Tedwarhc or @Hoprider though too cuz I left and went to Roundabout. Really enjoyed the earl grey pale ale. And the pumpkin coffee stout was great. Now I have a "favorite pumpkin beer". I was left dissatisfied with the bock however.

    shame.

I must say, Roundabouts pumpkin stout thing is probably the fullest feeling 5% stout I've had to date.

Just got to Caliente for lunch and a few beers. Asked about the bottles. They said you can buy your tickets now and pick up the bottles after 1pm. Wife and I got our 8.

I heard the original Plague aka the BLACK DEATH all started with some dude eating a foul ass slice of pizza that he found on his neighbor's back.
