Morning Beers

generally if I am having a beer with breakfast its on a saturday getting ready or watching college football. maybe a tailgate. the day follows as expected. cant say i drink a beer w breakfast then ever go do anything too productive.

 

Stouts with coffee and or maple. Bacon is also a plus.

 

I take one of two approaches, either low abv beers like Berliners, to ensure that I can make it throughout the day and night and not be obliterated or coffee based beers, given their caffeine kick.

Perhaps coffee beers are the way to go. Next time your girlfriend disagrees with you drinking - you can say it's Coffee ...and then whisper "beer" hahahahaha

 

Every now and then, I'll sip a Founder's BS on a Sat. morn, when I've got nothin goin on that morning. Actually thinking about warming a bottle in a pot of hot water served with buttermilk PC"s and natural maple syrup. Talkin about it makes wish it was Sat. morning!

 

Morning beer? Any beer.

 

If I'm camping..... morning beer, followed by a 5 mile minimum hike with another brew in hand and more in the pack. Yes! There's water in the pack too.

 

Golf? Yes.
Beer release/share? Yes.

Otherwise? No.

 

i don't have kids and my job is 5 days a week, but not a M-F; usually have Sunday and Tuesday off. USUALLY, if i request a different day i get it.

but i enjoy Ten Fidy in the morning with some BPL action. although almost any stout hits the spot, imperial stouts are great but regular milk stouts are good too.

obviously this isn't every day. this is only on days when Spurs play or when OSU plays. so most weekends i'm hitting the nectar early.

True. I have been stockpiling founders breakfast stout.

 

It's a dark, rainy Friday. I have to work later in the day. Breakfast Stout and donuts is absolutely the correct answer for brunch.

 

I usually wake up before my wife on weekends, 730 or 8am crack open a coffee beer, isn't an imperial stout but there are some tasty coffee cream ales coming out, and then do the chores. Let the dog out, clean the floors, do the laundry. Then I typically will not have another beer until after dinner. I love my morning beers.

 

Lol, go to work?? All that Pioneer woman like homemade Clamato making is work enough, bravo man. That 9-5er must be for the benefits alone.

 

My job requires shift work, when I was junior, I would have have to work midnight shift regularly. I would get home about 9 am, and beer would do me right. Plus the buzz is would be great. I would call these my night time beers in the morning.

I recommend not drinking a six pack of colt 45 malt liquor before 8:00 EDT. Anyway, not on an empty stomach. I'm thinking a Stiegl Radler, with lobster benedict in Portland, ME.

 

If you're waking up, walking to the refrigerator and grabbing a beer (and you're not in college or going to a football game), you have a drinking problem. No, it does not matter if you're doing chores or running or anything but afterward.

My wife makes the best french toast, enjoyed this last Sunday morning with it. Glassware works and everything

 

I've sat and watched many old- and not so old- Spanish dudes in Jerez drinking great cold Fino in the morning, catching up with shrimp scampi-like dishes just like candy. They probably take naps later on, but judging others isn't what they do. We are indeed a stodgy culture. Maybe we can blame Cotton Mather.
