Lagunitas Born Yesterday Pale Ale

    I was lucky last year and it was on tap at the ten closest beer places to me, so I never had an issue having it whenever... for about 2 seconds and then every keg tapped out mysteriously.

    Maybe some DC area BAs can help verify, but I didn't see any bottles of this last year. Citrusenensisisisisus and doppelsticky haven't showed up so as much as I want to try this, I'm not expecting it. Tell me I'm wrong!

    Right now Falling Rock Taphouse in Denver has Lagunitas Fresh Hop Pale ale on tap according to the Untappd app. I'm assuming it is Born Yesterday. I'm heading there after work to try it.

    I would find this a little surprising only because the last batch of fresh hops arrived at the brewery on 9/28. Wouldn't one expect a fresh hop beer to be ready two or so weeks after that, rather than a full month? I don't know how Lagunitas brews this one, and I don't doubt your sources; I'm just speculating and wondering aloud...Whenever it comes out, I'll be looking for it. It was the best fresh hop beer I've ever had, and I live in the land of them.

    About $10 + tax in Seattle, which was a ridiculous bargain given the quality.

    No, a month is right. Two to three weeks is too quick when u consider dry hopping, Brite tank, packaging etc.

    it was brewed a week ago. So it should be hitting bottles within the next week or two. Maybe the 20th?

    fresh hop pale and born yesterday are different beers. Falling Rock does not have Born Yesterday on tap.

    DC did not get Born Yesterday last year, but it was only released to a few cities. We got kegs of Citrusinensis, but I'm not sure any bottles hit, and I haven't seen any Doppelsticky.

    I wasn't super impressed. Based on how awesome everyone says that Born yesterday is, I didn't think they were the same.
