Maybe every single beer by AleSmith? Almost literally every single one.

It's great especially as a year round shelf imperial stout. I pick some up whenever I can and always have a few on hand.

    FIS, Expedition stout, BCBW.

OK, so not really forgotten, just haven't had the opportunity to purchase (and drink) in quite some time as they are late year releases (waiting for Expedition to hit the east coast as we speak).

A lot of these 'normal gravity' stouts are probably mine as well; I don't seem to drink as many as I used to. The Anderson Valley and Ipswitch would definitely be two of them. I suppose Fuller's Porter would be the third. This does seem to be a good time of year to change that, too .

BBB sits on the shelves there??? Wow, I'd be buying them up if they ever appeared in Philly.

I don't drink Alesmith not because of the quality, but mainly due to the fact that their pricing isn't justified

You have me confused @AlcahueteJ . You've basically repeated the same criteria you think was misguided in the article. Are the contributed results in this thread any different than the article list? Are Duvel sales less than that of Aventinus? Help me out.

I know the inclusion of "flagships" in the article caused a double-take, but the author admits the transgression and his commentary about it was actually the single best point of the article:

Emphasis mine. Then perhaps this beer is a perfect response.

I agree 100% on all 3. 90 is a world-class IPA that I forget about even though I live 30 mins from Dogfish brewery and La Fin Du Monde is probably my favorite triple and I don't buy it nearly enough.

We get stuck always searching for the next great new beer and we forget how great 90 min, Palo Santo, Burton Baton and other Dogfish beers are.

Only way I got to buy some was when I visited my family in Detroit. A bottle shop had about a case on the shelves. I ended up buying 6 after trying one!

    Not the most glamourous, but
    1. Negra Modelo (frequenting a lot of mexican restaurants, they don't normally sell craft, forget how much I love this beer)
    2. Schwarzbier (Almost all of them hit the spot)
    3. A good clean porter (had one from Lone Pint last nite, nothing special, just a good basic porter)

    1. GD Yeti - as far as I'm concerned, the best readily available RIS in the business. Better than many a limited-release stout, too...
    2. Rochefort 10 - so damn complex. Enough said.
    3. Orval - my rating for this isn't THAT high (less than a 4, I recall), but I've changed my mind about it pretty quick. If I rerated it right now, it would be in the 4.5 range, easy.
