For anyone who was interested in this and passed because of the price... It can be had for $12 per bottle at the tap room. On premise consumption only. Hopefully they can get the price down in future releases because I thought it was worth buying, just not for $15.99.

At FairState: Batch 5 and 10 are gone, Richmond Rye was still available as of 15 minutes ago.

Rumking bottles are out already? Is that available only at the brewery?

It was fairly easy to get Rum King last year but it did sell quickly at the more popular shops

Did they brew less this year or are they holding a bunch back? Last year it didn't sell out for a week or so.

Rep at Indeed told me it was the same amount made this year (when I got shut out trying to buy at 4pm), he thought the distro would be a bit tighter too due to more accounts - thinking just a case or two per store in general. I like Rum King, but not enough to go chasing it...

It didn't sell out today, it sold out for today (if that makes sense). They sell a certain amount each day to make sure they have some for each day and some for distro.

They sold 600 today and will sell 600 tomorrow. Rest to distro. Makes no sense at all when they had people asking for it all day. Why not sell more at the brewery when people are going there to buy it? Instead they are sending most to distro where they make less money per bottle. By keeping it at the brewery they get more people in to buy Rum King and then probably stay for a pint. They make all the $$$$$ when they sell it themselves.:confused::confused::confused::confused::confused:

Maybe they made a commitment to their distributor?

Overheard from the lady ringing people up this morning that most stores were only getting two cases.

Would assume they want to get some to stores to keep their distributor/accounts happy so they can keep selling tons of day tripper and dandy lager where they make $$$

I don't know if they need to lower it. It was easy to get if you showed up before 3:30ish each day. If they didn't allocate some for each day, bet it would have lasted all day Saturday and part of Sunday.

It was confirmed today that the brewery has none left, was curious due to their wording that "today's stash sold out." Rest has gone to retail.

No way to tell, but I'm not sure there would have been any available on Sunday had they not held it back. There seemed to be quite a few of us asking for it and told to come back the next day. Both days were quite a bit of fun, but Sunday was definitely a lot more mellow.

Rum King info: Don't kill me if these numbers are not perfect but this is what I've been able to come up with based on previous posts and listening to Indeed reps on the Beer Show radio show last Thursday:

    Bottles:
2014 - 360 cases made (4,320 bottles) and 90 cases (1,080 bottles) sold at Indeed
2015 - 550 cases made (6,600 bottles) and 100 cases (1,200 bottles) sold at Indeed

    Price at Brewery:
    2013 - $14.99
    2014 - $16.99
    2015 - $18.49
