I've had the joy to try some beers from this brewery and...not a bad one yet. New favorite brewery. I'm not too far off but I'd have to cross 1.5 states eastward to get to Wisconsin. I've used their "beer finder" by putting in zips from Minnesota and it looks like all of their distribution is in Wisconsin only.

Do you guys know if they distribute any further west than Wisconsin? Or is this a Wisconsin state-only beer? Thanks!

They only distribute to Wisconsin , and have no plans to expand beyond that.

Sconnie only. They once distributed to Illinois, but that's probably never gonna happen. There was a bar that got popped for tapping spotted cow outside Minneapolis once, but I wouldn't expect that again. Not worth it to forfeit your liquor license.

Are the year rounds beers (obviously not talking the rare stuff) sitting on the shelf at all the places that show up in the beer finder from that link above (i.e. CVS, Walgreens, etc)?

I was thinking of making the trip up to the border (looks like south of Kenosha for example) while on a trip to Chicago, but I don't want to call ahead and/or hit a bunch of places if it will be a wasted effort.

There is more NG than water available in Wisconsin. I think they hand you a 6 pack of spotted cow at the border when you drive over.
In other words yes it will be on beer menu, but go to Woodmans for the best price.

Woodman's in Kenosha will have large quantities of everything but the R&D series.

Fruit Bombers, Thumbprint Series, Seasonals and Year-round

Kenosha is about an hour from Chicago. Just over the WI/IL state line

For the most part you can find year rounds, seasonals, and large format fruits just about anywhere. Gas stations, mom and pop grocery stores, bait shops, supermarkets all carry these pretty much. Thumbprint releases are a little tougher, but most grocery stores/ liquor stores with craft beer have them.
