I have no issue getting up early to drive but can't do this one. Last time most of the people who got there stupid early were really drunk (embarrassingly so, no not everyone, just saying it was many) from drinking all night I guess....have fun folks...

I won't be at the dinner release I was at the mess in April and it turned me off enough I said never again unless they have a cash only and dinner only line and I haven't seen either mentioned.

I've talked to some great people in beer lines, but boorish and or drunk people often show up and turn the wait into a total drag. I was in line recently at a brewery I will not name, and a guy was loudly talking about how he had been at a bar for the past two hours (it was in the afternoon), he said he was "good" for another hour without a drink (he did a shot at the bar before leaving to tide himself over), and then he started lighting up cigarettes without stepping out of line momentarily to do so. Then came the stories about "shooting at people" in Iraq. The word "fuck" was used repeatedly and loudly as a noun, verb, adjective, and adverb (there were plenty of children well within earshot too). It was cringe-worthy. I clearly heard every word he said despite being 7 or 8 people behind him in the line. The home-made looking tattoos on his neck seemed to suggest that he wasn't going to take kindly to anyone's suggestion that he should consider changing his behavior. I guess I'm just getting old or something, but this kind of stuff ruins it for me.

Let's just say it is a popular Massachusetts brewery known for weekly lines in the parking lot. I have no problem with the brewery - they do a remarkable job.

Make sure you call OEC first, Saturday is their only 'open' day but if they're working they may let you drop by for bottle purchases. Also, NEBCo may still be closed at that point just check their facebook page to be sure.

I believe I know who you're talking about, but naming the brewery would possibly alert them to issues like this and perhaps prevent some things like this happening in the future. If it's a guessing game, it's not actionable.

Did Dinner ever hit "in & out" status on the last release?

Only shot is the taking the wife and kids on a foliage hike to Bradbury or Wolfes Neck..,any chance I can pop in MBC on Saturday around 4-5pm for this?

From the previous posts there was some dinner left at the last release that lasted into Sunday but this was a first it is usually sold out the day of the release

Can confirm -- popped in around 10:30-11:00 last release and there was zero line. Unlikely to happen this go-around. Colder weather should prevent the really early line, but with all the releases in Maine that day and the fact that word got out how smooth the last release went.... it's likely this will sell out relatively quick with a constant line.

My only suggestion would be to check in around 9:30-10AM to see if they've worked through the line and see if bottles are still available.

Also, I just heard Epiphany will be released that week starting on Thursday. Who knows if it will last until Saturday, but if it does, add that to the list!

Thanks for the head's up! We're going to call OEC earlier in the week to see if we can drop by on our way up for some bottles/growlers. It looks like NEBCO is set to open back up in 2.5 or 3 weeks. It's unfortunate we'll miss NEBCO, but we hope to find some of their offerings at bottle shops in CT.

Any word on the limits for swish or how that process typically works? Super excited for the weekend.

EDIT: I'm only concerned about the limits (and size of batches for that matter) mainly to understand how long it will last - not to buy as much as humanly possible!!

Usually is limited to a case, not sure how many cases they produce but it doesn't usually last past a couple hours.

Does Dinner make it to any of the drafts in Portland?

Or maybe all this hubbub about how crazy this one will be because the last one was great will cause people to stay at home............there's hope.

Unfortunately, it only sees the light of day at special events.

You can usually grab some on draft at MBC for at least a few days after the bottle release.

How long do Epiphany cans usually last? Are they typically still available on Friday when they open?
