@beace Please have some mercy on us bottle shop employees working 50+ hours a week here in Toledo who don't have a day off to drive down for it. Just send one case to my shop! I only want one bottle, and will make sure the other ones have new homes! We have a total dbag in town that somehow got three cases and is auctioning them off like it's the last clean water on earth.

 

May have to make the drive for this one is it draft only or will it be in bottles as well?

It looks like you trade, that would be a good option if you can't make it out there during the 2-3 weeks they have it available!

Dude, you dont have much room to talk. If half the stories I have heard about what you do with beer are true its a real sad tale! This person doesn't sound entitled she sounds like she wants a beer! Now go into your parents basement and stare at all your precious bottles!

This thread is great for info but there are way too many douches putting beer on a level it really doesn't need to be on the list of things that are important in life. If someone knows of an informative thread without the cocky know it all I am the best beer geek bullshit please let me know.

 

Haha Justin Timberlake is shitty? LOL...right. Love him or hate him, dude is talented as hell. Tough to deny talent, even if you dislike someone. OK had to get that out...I do not want to turn this into a JT discussion.

I don't think you did anything wrong. Sometimes, it just strikes a chord with people when folks complain about not being able to make it down to a release or complain about the way a brewery released something. Kane's recent Sunday Brunch release brought out some of the most entitled comments on Facebook that I have ever seen. It is especially annoying when people look for charity and sympathy for not being able to make it down (you did not come off as doing this, but I know guys who do it all the time). Beer is amazing and I probably care about it way more than I should, but it's still just a luxury. We all have to understand that with work, family, etc., we can't make it to everything. Not everyone has the same responsibilities/priorities. I always tell people that can't make it down, "If you want it bad enough, you'll find a way to get it (trade, etc.). If you don't get it, move on; plenty more great beer coming down the pipeline." In fairness, this is probably easy for me to say right now as I do not have kids (yet) and my wife is awesome about me doing beer-related things. It won't always be that way, though, so I better remember my comments here! That said, I am glad @RayOhioFelton should be able to hook you up.

 

I can't find info on Spirit Beast anywhere other than the mentions in this thread. Can anyone enlighten a new OH resident on what it is? Just wondering if I had to future budget a bit extra towards that in case is a style I dig.

First time release, it's a blend of many different BA beers.

It will be released in Novemeber. Very limited, blend of 4 different barrel aged beers.

 

Yikes. I know it was rude, but the post I replied to was the definition of entitlement. Sorry if I offended any one. I thought a joke about the song "cry me a river" would help lighten the mood. I guess entitlement is alright now. Next time I can't make a release because I'm working for 50+ hours then I will be sure to publicly ask for bottles from the brewer. 2015ing
