Best New England Sours

Since this thread is alive again I might as well ask..does anyone have a suggestion for bottle shops within Hartford County that carry a good variety of sours? I have seen shops (harvest/max bev) carry stuff from the bruery, crooked stave, and bfm, I am just hoping to find some other good American brewed sours. I have a feeling that I may just have to make a trip to a brewery...but I would love to check out some local shops this evening to satisfy my craving.

 

Local? That could be tough. Very few sours from local breweries in distro. Harvest seems to have expanded their offerings. They do have a solid Allagash selection. Still had Golden Brett last week. They also have some Evil Twin stuff of interest.

Willowbrook in Cromwell (yes not Hftd County but close) has some interesting things that will sit on the shelf a little longer than in other locations.

 

I am a little upset that I missed Farm to Face last week at Harvest. I agree, they indeed have expanded their offerings, especially with their Allagash and Evil Twin selection. They even announced a limited release from Capt. Lawrence today. I will be sure to get in touch with Willowbrook. Thanks for the suggestion!

 

Really enjoying several of the offerings from Hermit Thrush. Make a sour called Fallow Harvest - only pumpkin beer I can enjoy. Plus, several are in cans.

 

I haven't gone in search of it the last few releases... but I have definitely seen Dinner on draft at Novare Res and GLB before.
