Went to a local bar today for lunch and they had Black Note on tap. Apparently it was on since Saturday, really in this day and age no one blew up the spot. The owner even came over to me and said it was hard to sell such a heavy beer in the summer, but this one was doing well as it was almost gone. I wanted to tell him about BA and how it could have been gone like a fart in the wind if you mentioned here.

same thing happened during philly beer week. 2 or 3 places got it and it sat on the taps for almost a week. last time it came here to devil's den about a year ago, it was kicked within 15 minutes.

Black Note should be popular any time of the year. I wonder how well known it is that the bar was going to have Black Note. Is the bar known for its beer selection? If not, the average customer isn't going to know anything about a BA stout that is probably much more expensive than anything else on the draft list.

Quotations, though I might of seen it cough the last pour we got. So I'd call to confirm.

Hahahahah, yeah... You should have told Mike about BA. I'm sure that would have gone over really well. LOL

Yeah I've heard there is a reason people don't go there for craft beer. First time I was ever there and got to try Black note with out trading away half my cellar. Good day! I even passed up the Pliny and blind pig on the way home from work. Though I did try unsuccessfully to get a growler to go.

To be fair, it's not just here...Al's in southcentral PA tapped a keg on a Thursday (I think) night, and it was still there on Sunday

I've notice similar instances this Summer as well. Prohibition Pig in VT put KBS on Thursday night for the VT Beer Fest and had an event, and it was still flowing freely on Saturday afternoon, but all the other Founders beers were kicked..

Also, the next weekend, a bar in Saratoga was selling PINTS of BCBS and had had it on for days and was not in danger of kicking. Found both odd.
