Round and Round it went, but I managed to get 3. Session 1... AND 8AM is not too early for a sour; maybe for an IPA, but definitely not a sour :grinning:

That was painful. I was able to get 3, but creating the account, waiting on "connecting," terrified me that it wouldn't hold the beers in my cart. lol

My first Veritas purchase and potentially dumb question. Is there anything special going on @ these sessions besides we'll all have bottles of V16 to drink?

They usually have 2 oz taster pours of the release brew. Tomme makes sure it's undercarb'd in the pony keg just to eff with people...

Got my session 1, a little stressful when I refreshed, saw it pop up and the page froze and wouldn't let me do anything. But better than ddg. Way to go nexturnal!

Typically they give you a taster ticket for a free taster pour of the beer you just purchased and then sometimes will have other special taps and maybe some food trucks, otherwise...typically no.

They must have fixed the platform so that it saved your bottles in the cart through checkout. At checkout, for some reason the system logged me out...when I logged back in, my bottles were still there and I checked out successfully.

Does anybody know the count on this one?

Small enough to be able to land some ZD, but large enough that you could only maybe get 4 ZD max and not a whole 6pk. =(

Don't think they could sell out in cart. I didn't know I had to create an account so went through the whole motion on doing that and still got my 3 for session 3

Still hoping that guy didn't get any :grinning::sunglasses:

They can, Nexternal doesn't work like eventbrite and BPT do. It takes the whole allotment numbers until all are officially sold. It doesn't "remove from supply" when it hits your cart. At least not yet. LA did say they are working with nexternal to get this implemented, but this feature has been requested since before the 2013 ddg online fiasco.

IIRC V015 release also had the Santo Ron Diego release, too? Not that it was "special" but I don't recall anything at all for V014.

That's not an indication of them changing how the cart behaves, it's just how their software platform handles session data (most ecommerce platforms will function the same way). Essentially, it creates a session when you open the webshop, then just associates your account with your session once you log in.

I don't think any Veritas has been anywhere near as good on draft as it is out of the bottles - maybe once, but it's rare. I've heard various speculation as to why, but it's rare for any sour to be as good on draft as it is out of the bottle, so it's not really a surprise.

I would agree with this generally, however I didn't get through the checkout process until 8 after...I doubt bottles it lasted this long. The last Veritas releases seemed to sell out in a split second. I know Lost Abbey was actively trying to resolve the non-cart holding issue with Nexternal after the Barrel-Night sale a week ago.

I heard other people having it in their carts and then getting skunked today. I guess only official word from Lost Abbey/Nexternal would prove either way.

FWIW, I didn't get through the checkout process until 12:05, so 12:08 doesn't seem impossible.
