Has anyone recently cracked open a growler of Town Hall's Czar Jack from Feb. 2011?

Is it drinking optimally now or could I let it age longer?

    Thanks

Have you had it fresh? If so, what didn't you like about it then/what are you hoping it transforms into?

I had a growler of 2011 CJ in July of 2011, and it was fantastic.

Not the Czar Jack, but opened a growler of the Port Jack about a month ago. Still the same marvelous beer that I remembered fresh.

I thought there were reports of infection from 2011 Czar Jack. Is that not the case? Or was it a different vintage?

    2012 bottles, not growlers.

But that still seems to be a case by case basis. I opened one on vaction in mid July and there wasn't any hint of infection. Received a similar report on a bottle I sent to the PNW.

The 2011 growler I opened in January was sublime.

The 2012 bottle I sampled in July was infected, one of the most disappointing beer experiences in my life, as I knew what it could have been.

Thank you for the feedback, guys, it's a darn shame that the 2012 batch was infected.
