That is very impressive 7 days from can to shelf, considering it took bells hopslam a month to get on shelves this year.

Did you happen to notice any Expedition Stout at the TW McLean? The website no longer has the "Out of Stock" stage next to it.

 

Truth be told, I wasn't looking for it, so I can't confirm one way or the other --- but I've always found their front desk helpful when calling ahead.

Rodmans still has Cash Mony, Bells 30th, and two week 'old' Lunch.

 

I called TW McLean. I forget how nice the employees are on the phone at that location, typically, and I'm not a fan of calling in general. When I asked about Bell's Expedition Stout, she asked in almost a pleading manner "Do you mean Bell's 30th Anniversary?". I said no but asked if she had that, at which point, very pleased with herself, she said "Yes we do!" This lady wanted me to have the opportunity to get some 30th. I could just tell. This was very cool of her.

Anyway, no Expedition Stout, but there are two cases plus a 6er of 30th right out on the floor near the back, 20 bucks per. They also had the Walking Dead Terrapin release, and as previously indicated, lots of super fresh Jai Alai.

 

TW Alexandria has Bell's 30th Anniversary, Founders Harvest Ale and Dark Penance, and Stone Enjoy by 10/31/15.

 

Yup, picked up some Founders Harvest Ale at TW alexandria and having one now. Best wet hopped IPA out there imho

 

Hardwood posted Trickery and GBS release dates of 10/31 and 11/07. Sounds like Trickery will be brewery only.

 

I was told otherwise by a hardywood rep.

 

If true, and some of this hits distro it'd be bad ass

 

they made a lot more Trickery this year than they made last year.

 

I have heard the same about it going to distro but the event they created said "brewery only." They did not even post bottle limits although I'm thinking 4. My guess is they will keep saying brewery only just to get people out there. It is Halloween after all and I'm sure with them not opening until 2pm then people may otherwise skip it for other things if it was known to go distro. They will probably take stock of how many bottles are left after the release and then come out to say something like "hitting extremely limited distro." Just me thinking out loud.

 

I hope you are both right. Would like to be able to try it.

 

Fingers crossed it hits distro since I've love to try it as well and not sure if I can get to the brewery for this release.

 

Well I'll be heading down to Richmond for Halloween. Wish I knew if they were doing Rum GBS or Christmas Morning this year and what dates.

 

Anyone know if we are in the Rum Barrel Pumking distro?

 

It made it here last year, and I think it's already at Total Wine, but I could be mistaken. Also, Secret Admirer is in Whole Foods.

 

Check the date on those Secret Admirers, I drank one last night dated 9/04 and it tasted like it had probably fallen off quite a bit. It had a subtle fruitiness but overall was not very hoppy.
